P0ker H0: Living the Dream article
By westtexasman on 06-01-2006 3:42 AM

Well done champ and I am still in shock how you got $2000 more than 1st place, lol.

Mark is one of the best people you could ever meet, I am proud to call him a friend and can't wait to see him and many of you at the WSOP this year.

There is talk about Ho changing his name from Ho to Mr Jenga, Pretty BIG DEAL or Mr Tappy so when ya see him only feel free to call him either name. He likes all ove the above.

Well done Lenny I know it must be hard to make Ho interesting, lol but you did GREAT.

Excited about the WSOP and hope to see MANY pocketfivers doing well this year!!!!

Shawn

There is a guy who is a regular at a bar I where I used to bartend in Nashville who would answer the mundane, sometimes tedius question "How are you" or "What's up?" which we all shrug off with "Fine" or "Nothing Much" with a great big smile and the words

"I'm just LIVING the DREAM!"

He could brighten anyone's day, even those of us slaving away in the restaurant industry. Mark reminds me a lot of him.

I had a great time talking to Poker H0/Mr. Jenga/Pretty BIG DEAL/Mr Tappy and he sang your praises left and right. Seems like a great guy and the best kind of friend.

awesome, this is what its all about right here. Sounds just about what my life is going to be like. Well, at least I hope. YOu UB guys need to come around more often, you always have a positive outlook on things, which is always a good thing. Keep doing what your" doing Mr. Kroon and in fact anyone who is living the dream, because in the end thats what its all about, and you give punk kids like myself inspiration. thanks, and looking forward to meeting all you jokers at the WSOP this summer. Oh and by the way, The Bodog crew is also renting a house for the summer, ari, trues, hattrick, illnugwichee, and myself. SO, hopefully, well be throwing down as well. well, not hopefully, we most def. will be. I hope you old timers can play beerpong.....lol..gl at the tables, c ya in vegas.

Actually, I thought the funniest part of the article is when Ho says he gets mad when someone says he sucks after he beats him.  I figured that happened more at the micro levels, but I guess not (being only a micro player, i would have figured players matured as they went up in levels, oh well).

Ho does seem like he's a happy person.  I figure that he has the right perspective.  It seems like he owns a bar that makes money, and he only has to go in if he wants to.  So, if he feels like not rolling out of bed one day, he doesn't have to (he probably does anyway, but not having to has to make it so much easier).

The man is truely living a great life.  I'm glad he sees it.  I think we can all look at our lives and realize we're better off than 99% of the rest of the world, and enjoy life a little bit more

I really like the part where he said i have tightened up 300%.  he busted me in the Bahamas my Ak vs his 45 all in pre.  Lol

Great article I think we all envy the bar thing.  I think that would be cool to own a neighborhood bar and have fans and friends watch you play.

i think it was a cool interview and H0 by all means is a great player to watch. one thing it said that H0 is working on a book with some comments on hands from different pros. I think it would be such a help to have a book written by pros that play a lot of on line poker, especially by P5'ers.
Lets get it done lol.

This was a GREAT interview...and Im excited about the book mention also, although one player who is involved was left out, but I dont know if that was on purpose, so Ill let that person speak up if he wants it to be known :-)

I love the Yellow Hummer, fits you perfectly!!!  Great article and I can say I call you my friend and I can tell everyone that he is as happy as he seems.....There is nothing more fun than watching HO and Shawn hang out, make bets on everything from soup to nuts to how many bracelets Eric Seidel has.  Ho has the best time with life and is a joy to be around.  Good luck in the WSOP this year  Can't wait to be there to cheer you on.......think I'll save my HO shirt for the final table this time.
