  • When this happens you know its not your day :-(

    By abakus73 - Nov 03 2009, 11:15 AM

Here is just a little summary of the last days. As all of you post the results
of october I can't really complain about it... it was most of the time
flat and very hard work but at the last week I managed to get 4 FT's and lifted
it up to 4k green - but still missed to score higher in any of those 4 FT's :-(

So a new month and a new chance to start fresh ? Not with a day like
yesterday... "maaaaan" I play since 18 years and some online years on my belt
but this was definatly the poorest day ever faced.... I mean its sucking
on all of us but here are some very nice examples of what made me name
this as "When this happens you know its not your day :-(" :

    - played 7 MTT's couldn't cash 1 :-( ok happens only on very bad days but
    still not that tough
    - every time I had QQ+ I was killed, often by AA sometimes by sets
    - when I had AA I was killed by QQ 2 times - flopped sets :-(
    - when you go all in on a rebuyer with AK and opponents have JJ and AA you
know you don't win...but then the flop is 8910 in the colour of your ace and
the turn makes you the nuts flush BUT THEN THE RIVER GIVES STRAIGHT
FLUSH to the J's with 7 suited ... any questions ?
    - somebody goes all in in the SB when you are BB with AKs and its an
obvious steal try and you call and he turns K5 to hit a 5 and suck you
    - when the last hand you play is A7 suited in a 20k turbo and you played
tight all the time and flop comes 732 with your top pair and top kicker and
you have a nuts flush draw and you get a bet and you reraise all in and
he calls with 55 to hit the turn with his 2outer set and no flush comes.....

.... then you know its a BAD BAD day....

IT CAN ONLY GET BETTA FOLKS :-)

    By abakus73 - Oct 29 2009, 04:38 PM

I advice you to read my last blog to get a relation to this here and to
know why I call it the "DEJAVU" :-) so here is my latest blog b4 I wrote this:

    http://www.pocketfives.com/abakus73/i-finally-got-it-4823832

Ok - wednesday as normal with some soccer games on in the "DFB POKAL"
german league cup - not the normal 1st division or 2nd division games.
It's a mixed league cup - so teams from different divisions play eachother.
So I went to a friend to watch the games and played some MTT's beside
it. In the 20kR, the 18kR (former 15k rehab), a 6kSH and the flagship 50kR
it all went fine and I was on my way to cash every of those tourneys.
Don't remember the exit in the 18kR exactly but it was close to money and
it was a coinflip vs an aggressive donk - got 135th of 737 where 90 got paid.
"Not that much pain" I thought and was still relaxed coz I was still on a good
way in the other games. The 6kSH came over the bubble and I flopped a nice
nuts flushdraw on a Q high board which I raised preflop already. Opponent
checked to me and I made a c-bet that he called. Turn was a blank and he
checked once again to let me try to get him off the pot with an ALL IN.
I had still flushouts and could hold AQ but he couldn't fold coz he held the AQ
    and I quit 23rd from 171 for I guess arround 87$ :-) It was ok !!!

Meanwhile soccer was over (once again bavaria munich won with an storng 4-0
vs frankfurt - looks like they get into winning league form back) and I went home
sitting out for some minutes at the tables and taking game over in my living room.

NOW SOMETHING PRIVATE: I really love electronic music mixed with nice guitars
and deeper going lyrics. So the new RAMMSTEIN album was a MUST HAVE for me
theese days and I decided to take a sneak into the whole 16 titles while playing
on. *this could may have some impact on my game later on - we will see*

First the 20kR came to the bubble and I managed to get the bubble boy due to
bad timing. Limped 89s in clubs to flop flush with Q53 and got action from the
opponent and flat call to see a blank turn. He bet again and I raised him all
in due to the fear of getting caught by a bigger club and he insta called to show
    me nuts flush :-( SO I WAS THE BUBBLE BOY :-( 201st of 1663 !!! RARE !!!

Now a little resume to the 50kR so far as it was already in the 2nd hour: My start
into the tourney was as bad as on monday - facing a really nice suckout with holding
AK. I raised pf and he called: flop xxA rainbow and I bet 3/4 pot he called... turn
was a blank and I decided to go all in and let it look like a bluff and he called with 99
to get his 2 outer rivered :-( .... what a giant call on flop and river that was !!!
Ok - as the rebuying hour ended I was at 2.8k stack and made the addon. The second
hour was absolute amazing getting 2 middle pockets 66 and 99 on to cheap raised
flops that made me sets and after check-calling the flops I reraised them on turn and
got fully paid by two big stacks to get into top 10 :-)... nice bounce back...
till the bubble nothing special and I slidly got down with my stack to place 35 as 50
paid players were left. Was moved to a table with King_Dirk (normally a nice german
pro) but he tried to make moves on me every time I was in the BB and he was SB
and had me well covered. So I waited for a hand and reraised him all in after one of
his permanent preflop raises and took a big pot :-) (sorry man.. I had to post it - hope
you don't mind). After surviving two coinflips that I had to take we were sitting on
the last 2 tables and my new RAMMSTEIN CD showed first influences on me...
I played more aggressive (maybe due to the aggressive music?) and collected some
blinds to get easily to FT with a top4 stack at arround 200k - DEJAVU - it was
nearly the same amount as on monday :-( THE MATRIX GOT YOU !!!!

Ok - this time I got the same hand KK on the table as we were down to 9 and this
time I got a raise from the button and reraised him all in. He tanked for a while and
let it go. As we were down to 7 I raised a middle pair and got reraised from the BB
to all in - my feeling told me to fold and I did. The opponent told me I was surely
beaten so may AA but not sure.. 3 hands later I pushed with A9s and got reraised
from CL to all in and I couldn't fold it - was too much commited already and may
my rammstein CD overpaced me a bit here but I had to call :-(
he has AA and quietly I quit ... FINALLY NOT A BAD BEAT :-)
This was may the only difference to monday.

A nice 7th place for 1500$ and I DO NOT WHINE.....

But I promise: If I come to the FT a third time this week I take it DOWN - My
rammstein CD will help me now so take care - I got more aggressive :-)

  • I finally got it ?

    By abakus73 - Oct 27 2009, 02:19 PM

hi folks, dunno where I have to start with but yesterday
may changed my life or at least a big factor in my game :-)

    here is the full story:

playing on my favorite ongame site bwin I started the 3k
aussies and got very deep. an above average stack at FT
from a 62 players field with 100$ buyin brought me to last
3 players. I kept playing tight and the other 2 players
played nearly every hand so no need to gamble with 108o
and hands like this. finally AA took one guy out and I was HU.
as a 1/4 stack underdog i pushed 77 and J9s called me to
find J in flop and i made 1240$ for the second.

Until now nothing special - but a nice CASH :-)

Now something that can may change it all - having this
wonderfull cash above in my hands i decided to play a bit
more MTT in my late session and added some tourneys to
the standard ones I play. the 4kR, the 6kR and some smaller
    to my normal 15kR, 20kR and 50kR.
And now the miracle starts: in the 20k i got a decent stack
into 3rd hour and in middle position i get A6s in spade.
two limpers in front and i also limp to have the CL on the
table raising small. we all call and the flop comes 3710 in spades.
NOT TOO BAD :-) all check, me too and CL makes a 3/4 pot bet.
it folds to me and i just flat call to see the turn coming with
another 10. I check and he waits a bit to go all in... normally
I set him on overpair or maybe the fantastic KQs in spades ?
Anyway I must call and the all in looks like "I don't want you to
draw to flush" and I called to see him turning 77 for the flopped
set that got the FH turned. DAMN :-(

Very sick... specially with this betting pattern but anyway... I
was angry as always about sick dealing and went on in the 4k.
I guess it was a field of 2xx players and I already managed to get
over the bubble with a nice stack close to average and the whole
table played absolute donk... AJo called reraises all in preflop
without the need to do it and crap like that. I'm sitting on button
with 26k stack and blinds are 1/2k and 2 limpers get a raise to
8k from my QQ and SB waits a while to get all in with 28k ...
Hm ??? No way.. I can't fold this - already pot committed and
I called the guy coz he played a lot of crap b4 and he turns 55 ..
WTF ??? 55 ? He thought I can let this hand go when I
commited myself already with 8k ??? What a freak !!!

    board x x x turn x and MAGIC river 5 !!!!!!!!!

50k pot was good for FT - he got it sucked on me and finished
    4th later (4xx$) ....man I was really pissed ...
    DAMN DAMN DAMN...

I really couldn't calm down for a while and after that my
biggest challenge of the night didn't start well - in the 50kR
I was going into the first break with just a starting stack - already
a very bad start and in the second hour I managed to get
things started as I got over average with a big pocket vs a
smaller one 4 bet pf all in. I had a run and got my favo's
all in to get top 10. facing guys like locsta and moorman beeing
in the top30 the field got down to top 100 from a field
of 4xx to get 50 players paid. for nearly 40 minutes I got no
hands and spots to push and moorman was moved to my table.

Here a little footnote: "HEY CHRIS - I do not bite - just a small
answer in the chat would be ok to know you see it :-)".

Ok, back to business: after the bubble burst I was on I guess
3xth place with 50 left and double through one of moorman's
aggresive raises on button with KQs vs his J4s. Defining myself
little steps like "get top35" (next prize level), "get top20" for
another raise in the prize and "get FT" I managed to keep the
flow with AA on button raising and BB reraised me all in for a
very nice 176k pot good for a top4 stack at the last 10 :-)

Another FT at the biggest daily MTT at bwin ....NICE :-)

    NEXT TARGET TOP 5 for 3k cash+ !!!

The FT was absolut crazy: top4 including me at 2xxk+ CL 4xxk
and second CL 29xk and the following 3 low 1xxk and
3 under 100k. So absolute good value for top5 !!!
blinds at 4k/8k and rising... first my friend altero1 had to go
absolute undeserved with 1010 he calls a raise from middle
position from "in my eyes" an absolute aggro donk. flop comes
low and the inital raiser made his 3/4 pot c-bet and altero1
bravely reraise all in with his overpockets. Problem was: the
donk has odds now and had to call with any 2 overcards and
he did with AKo and got A on river :-( Good for me but bad
for altero1 - DUDE - well played - we meet at some other FT !
    I PROMISE !!!!!

now I got dealed JJ UTG+2 raised it and walked through.
direct hand after KK :-) - made it again a standard raise and got
a minraise from the above donk. maybe now my biggest fault...
I was afraid of AA and somehow I was stupid enough to just
call it instead of going ALL IN... flop comes 10xx 2 spades.
I'm out of position and now I somehow changed my mind and said
to myself "if he has AA I'm dead anyway" so i pushed all in
on flop. he wait for a while and called. And he has NO AA
but ???????????? the unbelievable 1010.....GOD DAMN....

I went out in 9th for 9xx$ instead of taking a chipleading pot
with over 4xxk and this guy managed to get 2nd for a giant
    cash of 9.6k USD.

It was soo dissapointing.... today morning I surfed through
the P5 community and read some of the blogs soupie wrote
and I really come to a changing point in my life and game:

I promise - I really work hard on just getting over those
nasty bad beats better... I try I try I try...I will even work
harder and I will finally get it.... I will never give up. BOOM !
    NEVER !!!

PS: CorpseGr, i.am.on.tilt and all those recent ongamers
I hope you read this and we can get even much more fun
    in future...

THATS it from me soo far... We meet at the tables...

  • I won 2 million - no fake

    By abakus73 - Oct 20 2009, 11:15 AM

Just another weekend and as the title say I really won 2 million...
Unfortunatly it was just 2 million in market points at bwin (part of
the ongame network) yellow member freeroll.

But 2 million marketpoints are 800 euro or arround 1162$, so not too
bad for a freeroll :-) I was really suprised how easy it was - the whole
field so far I could see without familar faces of all those regs in the
daily 15k, 20k and 50k MTT's. As poker is still a luck thing it could bust
me between but I really had a good run and made the FT and dominated
it with 1.4 million in chips vs 2 smalls 460k and 250k as I got sucked 2 times.
With AQs I reraised AI pf and 2nd CL calls with A10o hitting his 10 on river
for getting even with me. Some hands later he took the other small to get
with me into HU as 1.5 million to 800k CL. Just a few hands later we facing
a small raised flop with me holding 65 suited and flop is 4310 with a
combo draw on my side that let me bet into it - he raises and I go over
with my whole stack and he calls with K10o and my million of outs
    do not come :-(

Anyway - good result - and I decided to let these 1162$ be a BR for
one of these crazy challenges of "how to put xxx into several thousands
    in some months" :-)

Here is my challenge: "PUT 0 (it was a freeroll) into 5k till the year ends".
To have a fair BR management normally its 50 buyins for any MTT I play.
My daily plan is the 15k rehab for 10$R, 20k for 5$R and 50k for 50$R.
Imagine one rebuy and one addon after the rebuying hour it makes a
    daily buyin of 31$ + 15,5$ + 154$ =  200,5$ and 50 times its 10000 $
BR. So this 1162$ is a thenth of it.... So lets see my performance next
10 weeks and lets see if I can do it :-)

So far ...bye bye and GL
