10,000 SNG Challenge[ return to main articles page ]

Nothing fancy to say here, going to play 10K. Going to post updates probably once a month.

Started off slow just 8 tabling, then moved on to 10 for about 1,200 games.. than the past 200 games or so I've been 12 and 14 tabling. I think I'm going to buy a 4 monitor set up soon so I can play like 20.

Playing against the same guys day in and day out is pretty interesting. I find that there are about 15 guys who essentially all play the same way, myself included. Our styles are pretty standard but I feel like I am the best player at these levels, and I think my ROI backs it up, however thin my edge is in these.

I have had two major downswings (considering) where I felt like there was nothing I could do, but you really just have to play through it and remember that even if you're playing well, it's statistically impossible to run "well" for such a long time. You have to get unlucky.

Here are my stats so far. I'm going to go over my 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishes when I get the email from Stars.

If you keep in mind that I've bought two $1,000 gift cards for FutureShop, I'm firing at about $100 an hour playing about 25 hours a week.

I really don't care if you think I'm bragging because I am. These numbers are sick and I feel incredible about it. The only SNG player that is better than I am is bigjoe. I said it.

Oh, and my goal is to finish these 10,000 SNGs by May 1st, and I hope to make $80,000.

    pompous, arrogant, POS. The lack of class shown here really achieves new heights. When I saw a friend had posted good cashgame results on facebook (a shitload more than $100/hour) I thought I had seen a poker low: the language that your attitude reflects is absurd. You should take a step back, decide whether you actually think you are still relavant with a washed up site, making $100/hour, and then reflect on your motivation for you ridiculous statements. <br>

There is no need to come on here like an ass and be like oh wow. look how good I am. please look at me. dude. you make 100 an hour. congrats. do you know how many poker players make more than that?     I dont see why people are getting angry. I liked the post, and Im interested to see his results when 10k goal is hit. GL to ya. Obv. he's proud and excited about his accomplishments and yes his post is a little arrogant, but oh well. The lash backs are more offensive to me then OP.

    Its because we have heard it all before. we all know gidders is a good sng player. this post would be ok if it was ok im doing a 10,000 sit and go challenge. ill keep you informed. im going to try and make this amount in this amount of time. he did that but then went on to say basically omg look at my stats. im so good. im the best at the level. wooooo. um ok? nobody gives a damn. it would be like Bax coming in and posting his stats and being like WOOO IM FUCKING AWESOME. BEST MTT EVER. Bax though wont do that because he is an extremely classly guy. He knows he is good but he is HUMBLE. being a humble player is what garners respect.

    when gidders makes 80k. <br><br><br><br>not trying to be virulent, but common, the goal that jidders is pursuing could have been framed in a much more reasonable light than, "i'm the best, better than all of you by commutative logic", I'm going to be uber succesful... etc<br>

    agreed it was out of line... however I dont think intended to be malicious. It looks more like a young guy over excited with high hopes. To me I think it will make it more interesting to see his updates and to see how he deals with his self proclaimed greatness, no need to castrate. Mock maybe but castrate.... meh.

    Yeah im sure he didnt mean for it to be malicious but its still ridiculous to say it. stuff like that puts him on the level of ActionJeff. I just hate people glotting about stuff that really isnt that amazing and that people already know he is doing. its annoying as hell. seems as if its a call for attention. reminds me of AJ.
