That year, he finished third in the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Main Event for a colossal $782,000 after a five-way chop. Two months prior, he made waves on Full Tilt Poker after finishing second in the site’s $1 Million Guaranteed for $135,000. According to DoylesRoom, Kamberis earned $1.5 million online in 2008 alone.
Other top-tier scores by the newest member of the Brunson 10 include wins in the Absolute Poker $150,000 Guaranteed for $37,000, the PokerStars $250,000 Guaranteed Sunday Rebuy for $75,000, and the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $66,000. His success on the virtual felts has led to several solid cashes in the live poker arena. Kamberis took 78th in January’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event for $28,000. In December 2007, the new DoylesRoom pro finished 30th in the World Poker Tour’s (WPT) Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic for $57,000.
