Ari Final Tables MiniFTOPS No Limit Hold'em Turbo Event[ return to main articles page ]

In the 15th event of the ongoing Mini Full Tilt Online Poker Series (MiniFTOPS), Ari Engel (pictured at right) finished as the runner-up in a $22 No Limit Hold’em Turbo tournament for $22,000. Heads-up, Ari fell to TheWorkGuy and the contest’s champion pocketed $33,000. A colossal field of 10,772 players entered and the top 1,350 spots paid out. The MiniFTOPS schedule concludes on Sunday with a $55 No Limit Hold’em Main Event with an $800,000 guaranteed prize pool.

In Event #13, a $33 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max Shootout, 3,934 players turned out, meaning that the tournament did not meet its $150,000 guarantee. German Triple Crown winner schappuscha finished second when the smoke cleared and raked in $14,000. In the last four months, schappuscha has taken down the Full Tilt Poker Double Deuce for $31,000, the $75,000 Guaranteed on Absolute Poker for $25,000, and the PokerStars $100,000 Guaranteed for $27,000. Here’s how the top three of MiniFTOPS Event #13 shook out:

In Event #16 of MiniFTOPS XV, Carlos Eduardo cpinheiro Pinheiro won a $22 Seven-Game Mixed tournament for $7,800 after a two-way chop. Heads-up, Pinheiro chopped with Doyte_D1, who collected $7,400 and officially took second place. Pinheiro hails from Brazil and lists his favorite online poker player as Full Tilt’s Patrik Antonius in his profile on PocketFives.com. Check out how the top three in Event #16 looked:

Jordan Jymaster0011 Young, who calls Michigan home, grabbed third place in MiniFTOPS Event #17, a $33 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max with Rebuys tournament. The event surpassed its $350,000 guaranteed by about $8,000 and a two-way deal saw UgA7211 take away a $60,000 top prize. Second place went to Full Tilt Poker member danynino, who banked $52,000. Young, who is 10 days removed from winning the PokerStars $80,000 Guaranteed, pocketed nearly $30,000:
