Another one of his favorite Blogs surrounded a $50 last longer bet between DiTullio and fellow PocketFiver kyzersosa1. The origins of the competitive bet stem back to a hand that took place during the $4.40 buy-in Limit Hold’em $2,000 Guaranteed on PokerStars. DiTullio picked up aces and raised. Another player at the table re-raised and kyzersosa1 called. The player on the big blind capped and the table called around. The flop came K-J-3 rainbow. DiTullio once again bet and the same action that occurred prior to the flop once again transpired. The turn came a five. DiTullio led out and kyzersosa1 called; the two were the only remaining players in the hand at that point. The river came an eight. DiTullio bet and kyzersosa1 called, flipping over K

.DiTullio quickly reacted, noting in his blog entry, “This guy called three bets cold twice with K

and then top pair no kicker on the flop. I put a note on him saying he'll pay me off with TPNK and moved on with the hand.” Then, the action quickly escalated in the table chat after kyzersosa1 allegedly berated his opponents. A $50 last longer bet between the two adversaries panned out in a thread in Poker Discussion. DiTullio told us, “I didn’t think there was a snowball’s chance in Hell that I would lose. My whole intention was to have a laugh at his expense. Kyzersosa1’s first posts on PocketFives.com in the four years he’s had an account were in response to this.” The PocketFiver from Vermont now has 22 posts to his name after joining the site in October of 2005.DiTullio became interested in poker as a kid while playing cards with his mother. His interest was piqued even further in 1998 and 2002, when he caught telecasts of Scotty Nguyen and Robert Varkonyi, respectively, winning the World Series of Poker Main Event. From there, his experience was rather typical. He recalled, “My friends and I started a home game where we played a very bad version of Texas Hold’em. It essentially became a super turbo capped game. From there, I began playing online.”
He told PocketFives.com what he aims to achieve while blogging on the site: “When I started the blog, I wanted to do it for a little while, but I wasn’t sure that I had a lot to say; I’m a low-stakes grinder. Then, these things started happening to me, so I wanted to tell a story and make some people laugh in the process. I like reading things that will kill 20 minutes and that I’ll get a good laugh out of. I like being entertained by poker.” He’s also written about people he’s pitied during his poker career, what his favorite activities are in his free time, and how class at Worcester Polytechnic Institute interferes with playing the game he loves.
At the time of writing, DiTullio has nearly 30 Blogs to his name.
