Text found on Bodog’s website outlines the double points promotion: “There's never been a better time to be a frequent poker player at Bodog! For a limited time, we are offering players who earn 2,000 or more points in a month an opportunity to double their cash rewards with a double points bonus.” Players can take their newfound point balance and convert it into cash or enter specified tournaments. Bonus points will be placed in players’ accounts at the end of the calendar month.
Points are earned based on play in ring games and tournaments on the virtual felts of Bodog. For cash game pots with between $0.05 and $0.20 in rake, players will pocket 0.10 Bodog Poker Points. For pots containing between $0.25 and $0.45 in rake, players will earn 0.25 points. A half-point will come your way for contributing rake to a pot between $0.50 and $0.95. Finally, $1 to $3 in rake results in your Bodog Poker Point balance growing by one. In addition, you’ll receive three points for every $1 in tournament fees you pay.
Bodog also awards an extra bonus based on playing time. You’ll receive one point for every 60 minutes’ worth of play, which does not include time spent sitting out. Players can earn a maximum of 500 points for playing time, which is the equivalent of 500 hours. Points can be exchanged for cash at a rate of 100 per $1; 500 points is the minimum number that can be turned in at any one time. A total of 25,000 points can be exchanged within a 30-day period.
In order to access the Points to Cash program on Bodog, log into the client and head straight for the “Account” tab. Then, click on “Points to Cash” and type in the amount you wish to exchange. Several point buy-in tournaments are available and run daily. Prizes include entries into the site’s weekly $100,000 Guaranteed, the Flight Club Quarterfinals, and cold hard cash.
