In March, PocketFiver Shawn phatcat Luman (pictured) took down the Main Event of the very first Bodog Poker Open, winning $76,280. The $500 buy-in event marked the conclusion of the wildly popular tournament series on the online poker site. Starting this Sunday, September 28th, the Bodog Poker Open is back. This time around, Bodog will host 14 events with more than $650,000 in guaranteed prize money. In fact, the $500 buy-in Main Event of the BPOII will offer up a $300,000 guarantee, the largest ever on Bodog.
The BPOII consists of 14 total events: Eight regular tournaments and six bounty tournaments. In the latter, every member of Team Bodog will have $109 in tournament credits on their heads. If a player knocks out one of them – Evelyn Ng, Jean-Robert Bellande, David Williams, or Justin ZeeJustin Bonomo – they’ll take home $109 worth of credits, which will buy them into a Main Event satellite. The very first Bodog Poker Open was held in March. PocketFiver rusostreet took down Event #1, a $270 No Limit Hold’em tournament, defeating Ng and Josh Arieh, who finished second and third, respectively. Another member of the online poker community, Hoffs28 (who plays on Bodog under the name 3pounder), won Event #2, a $325 No Limit Six-Handed tournament. Event #3 was won by PckAces and PocketFiver foldpreflop85 took down Event #4, a $215 Pot Limit Hold’em tournament, for $14,100. HB_HITMAN finished second in Event #5, a $160 Limit Hold’em event, right before Luman took down the Main Event.
You can head over to Bodog right now to hop into a satellite for a BPOII event. Good luck to all PocketFivers this weekend on Bodog and any of the other major online poker sites.

* There have been a lot of issues lately with the timeliness of payouts on Bodog. We've heard about people having to wait as long as 3 months for a check, so we cannot recommend depositing there if you are in a situation where you will need to cash out quickly. We are still confident that everyone who needs to cash out of Bodog is able to get their money, but the folks at Bodog acknowledge as much as we do that the timeframe is far from acceptable at this time.
