Tuesday’s Spring Championship of Online Poker action featured several non-hold‘em, shorthanded events, including a series of Pot Limit Omaha and Stud Hi-Lo tournaments. Several well-known pros peppered the final tables of the less common variants, with the Brazilians once again making their mark, grabbing two more SCOOP titles.

The day’s tournaments kicked off with a Four Max, $27 No Limit Hold’em event that drew a massive 4,972 entrants, each looking to take the biggest slice of the $122,000 prize pool. In the end, Germany’s ‘camikater’ bested Brazil’s João ‘joaomarcello’ Marcelo Rezende heads up to take home his first SCOOP title and a $14,772 payday. His opponent licked his wounds and banked $8,949 for taking the runner-up spot.

The Event #31 mid-stakes tournament drew a considerably smaller field of 1,438 runners, who battled it out for the $287,600 prize pool. The Brazilians again proved their prowess, as ‘ZéDoBlefe11’ defeated Israel’s ‘kobe call’ to take home his first SCOOP title and the $50,042 first-place prize. Notably, Canadian MMA fighter and poker pro Terrence Chan snagged fourth-place for a $10,767 payout, with another Brazilian, ‘gringenkov’ locking up fifth for $6,870.

The $2,100 buy-in, Event #31 high-stakes tournament attracted 308 entrants, who generated a $616,000 prize pool. Dutchman Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford, the #3-ranked player in the world, triumphed over two opponents from Mexico, ‘srxakgirona’ and ‘pablotenisis’, and took home nearly $120,000 after a four-way deal was struck.

A total of 2,545 players bought into the Event #32 Pot Limit Omaha low-stakes tournament, pumping up the prize pool to $127,250. With 330 places being paid, Canada’s ‘Uruk17’ came out on top, besting two Russian opponents, Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, a UK grinder and an Austrian to take home the $17,940 first-place prize.

Some 688 runners turned out for the $530 buy-in, mid-stakes edition of the event. ‘prapavedi’ absolutely destroy the competition at the final table, personally knocking out every one of his opponents. He walked away with $61,920 for his effort, with Belarusian ‘7Be/eC7’ going home with second-place and a $46,440 payday.

The $5,200 buy-in Event #32 high title was claimed by ‘BriDge2PaiN’, after he outlasted his 179 opponents. Playing From the tiny Mediterranean island of Malta, the European earned his first major online title and $216,000.
Stud Hi/Lo was on the docket for the Event #33 series of tournaments. Brazilian grinder José ‘neto gol’ Queiroz da Costa Neto came out on top after taking down his Russian opponent to win his second SCOOP bracelet along with a $6,792 payout.

The final table of the $215 mid-stakes event featured a number of big-name pros, including Mike Leah, Calvin Anderson, Shaun Deeb and Matt Vengrin. Poland’s ‘__akun333___’ bested them all however, earning him his second COOP bracelet after navigating the event’s super-tough lineup.

In the $2,100 buy-in, high-stakes addition of the event, UK’s ‘RunGodlike’ lived up to his name, after defeating pros Jason Mercier, Dzmitry Urbanovich and Marco Johnson.
