For the second time in a month, a P5er has won both the Monday and Tuesday "Oyster" tournaments on Paradise Poker. Last time it was Tmay420, and this time it was Sean "BrooDogg" Bruder, a talented player that's many weeks been ranked in the P5s Tournament Player Rankings. Sean plays the Oyster tournament, a nightly $100 rebuy on Paradise, about three times a week. "Probably more now, though," he told me. "$100 rebuys have always been intimidating to me until the last few months. I was in a slump for a while until around May this year, until I met PokerJoe9, and he's dramatically fine-tuned my game." They've been discussing hands quite a bit, and the results are showing.
Winning the Oyster tournament in consecutive days is not an easy accomplishment, and very few players have pulled it off since the tournament started running in May 2006. Being a $100 rebuy with a $40k guarantee, it attracts many of the net's top players every day--when you beat this field, you're not beating a bunch of fish.
BrooDogg's other recent accomplishments include a fourth place finish this past Sunday in the Full Tilt $250k.
