This week's P5's Rankings update has 25 year old Canadian Russell "rdcrsn" Carson (pictured) moving up to #2 in the worldwide rankings after his 2nd place finish on April 18th in the PartyPoker Friday Night $25k Guaranteed pushed him up one rankings spot. Russell's best run to date came in January of this year, when he made a combined $270,000 in a period of one week. Isaac "mr. menlo" Baron was unavailable for online play during most of last week, as he played the 2008 European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo. Isaac eventually placed 4th in that event, taking home nearly one million dollars! "Mr. menlo" is up one spot to #3 this week.

Joshua "pbdrunks" Van Duyn has re-emerged as one of today's top online poker superstars. His victories earlier this year in the PokerStars $1k Super Tuesday and the Full Tilt Poker $55k Guaranteed tournaments were worth a combined $93,000, and Joshua finds himself up 2 to #13 this week. Luke "IWEARGOGGLES" Staudenmaier is up 2 to #15, coming off of three 6-figure cashes over a period of four months. Phil "USCphildo" Collins made online poker headlines this week by winning the PokerStars Sunday 2nd Chance tournament for $48,000 - moving him up 6 spots to #16. Brent "bhanks11" Hanks is up 4 spots to #19.

PocketFivers "PURPLEPILS99" and "the_Hunt_D" are both up 5 spots to #23 and #29 respectively this week, as Mark "TheOmaholic" Roland continues his tear through the worldwide rankings; ending the week up 7 at #36. Cesar "makavelyces" Fuentes of Florida finds himself up 7 spots to #42 this week; enjoying a nice boost from his 2nd place finish in the PokerStars $200 rebuy less than a month ago. Nick "fu_15" Maimone jumped 19 spots this week after his April 15th victory in the PokerStars $1k Super Tuesday for $66,600 and his March win in the PokerStars $100 rebuy for another $40k.

Costa Rica's "improved" is up 8 to #47, as "mendieta19" continues his climb - up 9 spots to #48. "CapTinBisKuiT" is up 7 spots to #49 after winning the PokerStars $25k Guaranteed earlier this month. Many will remember "CapTinBisKuiT" as the outright winner of the Full Tilt Poker $750k Guaranteed on March 23rd for $134,000. One of the forums most popular posters, teenager Jim "Mr_BigQueso" Collopy has moved up 14 spots to #60 this week. Jim is fresh off a victory in the PokerStars $100 rebuy for nearly $38k, and has a final table in the Full Tilt $750k Guaranteed to his credit so far this year. "YoungSupremacy" is up 13 to #62 this week, followed by long-time P5'er "JOEYTHEB," who boasts the largest rankings jump this week - up 23 to #63.

Sweden's "Tomgus456" is up 15 to #70, as his amazing February '08 results begin to show in the rankings. His first place finish in the PokerStars Sunday Million on February 10th was worth nearly $220,000. One week later, he final tabled the Full Tilt Online Poker Series Event #19 for another $67,000. "CrazyZachary," who many readers will remember as the outright winner of the FTOPS Main Event in August 2007 for $395k, enters the rankings this week at #87, as "ender555" moves up 11 spots to #89. Former ranked online pros "Chipsteela," "soggyvag2," and "stsitron" have re-entered the rankings this week at #97, #99, and #100 respectively.
