The PocketFives.com Sortable Rankings for the Lone Star State have seen a shake-up in the last few months, as newly ranked P5'er "the_Hunt_D" stands atop the Texas PLB with nearly 6,000 points. Hunter has had extremely impressive online tournament results dating back to November of last year, when he placed 2nd in the FTOPS $1k event for $155,000. In March of this year, he won the PokerStars $200 Rebuy and the Full Tilt $100k Guaranteed for a combined $76,000. He currently holds a PLB lead of approximately 750 points over Forum Moderator and long-time site contributor Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet. Jon is a former runner-up in the PokerStars Sunday Million, and three online scores of over $30k so far in 2008, including a win in the PokerStars $100 Rebuy.

Jordan "scarface_79" Smith is another Texan who has turned his game up a notch since the beginning of 2008. In January, he took down the Full Tilt Sunday Mulligan for nearly $41,000, and followed that up with a victory in the PokerStars $100 Rebuy for $44,650 in March. PocketFiver "Deuce2High" finds himself in the #4 spot in the state of Texas. He's probably better known for the screen name "Pwnasaurus," which he uses on various online poker sites. His March 2008 victory in the PokerStars $200 Sunday Rebuy was good for $53k. Hailing from Fort Worth, he's also taken down a $100 Rebuy tournament and placed 2nd in another in the last six months.

"UHBigTex" has been a PocketFives.com member since mid-2005, and broke through with a huge victory in March, winning the PokerStars Quarterly Sunday Million ($1,000+$50 buyin) for over $366,000. This score alone was enough to catapult him into the #5 spot in Texas, He's had victories in the PokerStars Sunday 2nd Chance and $100 Rebuy tournaments in the past year as well. Travis "TravestyFund" Rice is currently ranked #6 in the Lone Star State, with victories in the PokerStars $100 Rebuy and Full Tilt $33k Guaranteed tournaments. Travis is best known for his victory in the 2007 Ultimate Bet Aruba Poker Classic, where he won $800,000. Josh "pairDboard21" Evans is right behind him after recording three online tournament scores of over $20k in the past six months, including his 1st place finish in the PokerStars $25k Guaranteed.

"BleedBlue33" had a huge night on November 13th of last year, winning the FTOPS $1k event for $250,000. His 2nd place showing in the Full Tilt New Year's Resolution added another $30k to his online poker bankroll. Friendswood, Texas online poker player "kudos1017" accomplished an amazing feat in November of last year; winning the PokerStars Nightly Hundred Grand twice over a period of five days. His combined winnings from those two victories total $65,000. His most recent win was in the Full Tilt $20k Guaranteed in March. Rounding out the Top 10 is old school forum poster "jeffbeesdat," who has final tabled more Sunday major events than just about anyone in online poker. He's kept up the pressure so far in 2008 with 2nd Place finishes in the PokerStars $100 Rebuy and $55k Guaranteed tournaments.
