DFS Daily Update for 11/4: DraftKings Millionaire Maker Lineup Deconstruction
Let’s take a look at the winning lineup from the DraftKings Millionaire Makerfor Week 8. Congrats to Gvalstyleon taking down the tournament and winning $1 million. There’s another Millionaire Maker lined up for Week 9, so visit DraftKings and play today.

You can see that the shootout between the New York Giants and the New Orleans Saints paid dividends for Gvalstyle, who got 125 points out of three players from that game. Combined, Brees, Beckham, and Watson were about 20% owned, which means that all three helped differentiate Gvalstyle’s winning lineup.
Interestingly, Gvalstyle used a RB and a WR from the same team, in this case the Rams against the hapless 49ers. I suppose you could point to Week 2 of this season when the Steelers put up 43 points against the same 49ers defense, with Ben Roethlisberger and DeAngelo Williams finding the end zone three times apiece. However, it’s still odd to see a WR and a RB from the same team, especially when the duo gets only three touchdowns combined.
Gurley was owned by almost two-thirds of the teams in the Millionaire Maker. His price is sure to keep increasing as the weeks go by, but he was criminally cheap in Week 8. Gurley is the fourth most expensive running back in the Millionaire Maker this week, but is still quite affordable at $6,900.
Gvalstyle had 15 total touchdowns, about half of which were from Brees, and his only real “dud” was McFadden, who made up for his lack of rushing yardage by hauling in six catches.
