We’re already halfway through the NFL season. That’s hard to believe. I’ve done my research and set my lineups on FanDueland here’s who I’m loving this week. Since it’s Week 8, I thought it would be appropriate to single out eight guys who are staples of my lineups. When you’re done reading, let me know who you like by commenting below. Michael Floyd – WR, Arizona Cardinals ($4,900)

Floyd is not only basically min-priced, but he also plays for a red hot offense with question marks at WR1 and WR2. Larry Fitzgerald has found the end zone just once since Week 3, while WR2 John Brown is banged up, but got in a limited session on Friday. Enter Michael Floyd, who has touchdowns in his last two games and 22 targets over the last four weeks.

Chris Johnson – RB, Arizona Cardinals ($7,300)

He’s one of the cheaper upper-tier running backs, but is second in the NFL in rushing yards this season at 567 yards and has topped 100 yards in two of his last three games. Arizona plays Cleveland, who is dead last in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game at 151, a full 20 more than the next closest team. Yes, please.

Jonathan Stewart – RB, Carolina Panthers ($6,600)

Stewart is 15th in the NFL in rushing and gets a home date with an Indianapolis Colts defense that ranks 23rd in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game at 122. Carolina’s strong defense should keep Indy at bay, which paints a favorable game flow for Stewart. He does get touchdowns vultured by QB Cam Newton and RB Mike Tolbert, but the yards should be there.

Cam Newton – QB, Carolina Panthers ($8,000)

On FanDuel, Newton is the eighth most expensive QB on the Sunday afternoon to Monday slate. He’s the same price as Matt Ryan and $100 more than Drew Brees, but, from week to week, offers arguably the most upside of any QB. We saw Brian Hoyer light up Indy’s pass defense a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday night, which means there’s plenty of upside this week with Cam. Indy is allowing 285 yards per game through the air, the fourth worst mark in the NFL.

Alshon Jeffrey – WR, Chicago Bears ($7,700)

With injuries to both himself and his QB, Jeffrey has turned in quite an abysmal year so far. However, last time out, he put up eight catches for 147 yards and a touchdown against Detroit and now gets a date with Minnesota, whose pass defense started off solid, but has begun to crumble. Last week, Minnesota gave up 256 yards and two touchdowns to the dumpster fire that is Matt Stafford and the week before that, noodle-armed Alex Smith nearly topped 300 yards against them. All of this means a solid game for Jeffrey.

Todd Gurley – RB, St. Louis Rams ($8,100)

It’s hard to believe that Gurley isn’t one of the top five most expensive RBs this week. Instead he’s #6, but can easily be the week’s #1 overall RB. Gurley has topped 125 rushing yards in three straight games and found the end zone twice last week against the league’s worst run defense. Gurley plays the 49ers this week, who are middle of the road in run defense, but given San Fran will have no Carlos Hyde and potentially no Anquan Boldin, the game script sets up perfectly for Gurley to be feed the rock early and often. San Fran might not score.

Marvin Jones – WR, Cincinnati Bengals ($5,400)

Another steal. In the last two weeks, Jones has commanded 20 targets and parlayed them into 156 yards and a TD. Pittsburgh is giving up the sixth most passing yards per game in the league right now. The Steelers were gashed by Carson Palmer and Philip Rivers for almost 800 combined yards on back-to-back weeks. Fire up Jones as a cap-saver this week.
