Its not every day that an online poker site offers a completely free tournament with no deposit required, but this weekend we have one for you on Fleet Street Games. Its a brand new subscription-based site that makes its home in the United States. Its open to customers from around the U.S. and around the world and will be going live in September. Currently in beta-testing mode, Fleet Street Games is hosting an exclusive freeroll for PocketFivers this Saturday, August 30th. The top 20 finishers will win entry into Fleet Street Games $50,000 freeroll on Sunday, August 31st.

The freeroll for PocketFivers takes place on Saturday at 6:00pm ET (18:00 ET). Heres a list of prizes up for grabs in the freeroll:

No deposit is required and the site is not yet subscription-based. Fleet Street Games is using this freeroll as a test to see if what kind of response PocketFives.com members can give. Registration for the PocketFives freeroll on Fleet Street Games closes at 4:00pm ET on Saturday, so sign up today.

You will be automatically registered into the PocketFives Freeroll if you sign up through our links and create an account. If you aren't registered, e-mail us and we'll help you out. All of the details are available in this thread in Poker Discussion.

The $50,000 freeroll takes place on Sunday, August 31st. Its one of the largest freerolls offered online that I can recall and will usher in the launch of the site live in September. Fleet Street Games is run by Dan Goldman, the former Vice President of Marketing for PokerStars.

If you decide to become a member of Fleet Street Games after the freeroll, you have four different subscription options to choose from:
Weekly: $9.99
Monthly: $19.99
Quarterly: $49.99 ($16.66 per month)
Annually: $174.99 ($14.58 per month)

Over $200,000 in monthly prizes will be given away on the site, whose members will also have unbridled access to PokerSchoolOnline, which features a bevy of educational poker materials. When you sign up for an account on Fleet Street Games, youll receive $1,000 in Play Money Chips and $1,000 in Tournament Dollars (or T$). Prize pools will range from $10 to $100,000 once the site gets up and running. Tournament buy-ins will range from T$1 to T$5,000 and each member can top up to T$1,000 once every 24 hours.

Twelve states in the U.S. are restricted and are not eligible for paid memberships on the site: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Washington.

  15. <p>This site seems like a bit of a con well I was trying to find out some of the facts of how the site operates and I came across this </p>
<p>"Do you withhold any amounts from my winnings?</p>
<p>Generally the answer is 'no,' but there are some exceptions:</p>
<p>If you win more than $5,000, the IRS may require us to do backup withholding of 28%. If this happens, we will pay these amounts to the IRS on your behalf, and you will receive a backup withholding statement from us at the end of the year showing any amounts withheld. </p>
<p>If you are not a US citizen, and your country does not have a tax treaty with the US, we may be required to do backup withholding of 30%. </p>
<p>In either of these cases, you should consult a tax professional for further advice.</p>
    <p>"</p>
<p>Why would you bother playing on online poker site that will tax your hard earned winnings BY 30% when other site don't. Ie; $5000 win deduct tax LOL then its only $3,500 :(. What a joke just thought I would post what joke this is. </p>
