WCOOP is underway with a former top-ranked PocketFiver grabbing an early win

This time last year Sweden’s ‘eisenhower1‘ was the top-ranked online poker player in the world. With the 2016 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker now underway, he may be making a move back up the standings relatively quickly.

The Swedish pro continued his winning ways Tuesday by taking down the $215 buy-in Six Max Rebuy tournament for $72,339 — defeating second place finisher ‘delfina_47‘ who received $48,238.

The $215 buy-in Event #2 was a six-max tournament that ended in a four-way final table deal, as Pablo ‘pablotenisis’ Fernández and ‘mashenka86‘ earned $132,054 and $122,900 respectively for finishing in first and second place. PokerStars player ‘tua133’ finished third for $97,341 and PocketFives member Jay ‘Jayshosefat’ Smith was also in on the chop — collecting $99,949 for fourth place.

There was a three-way final table agreement reached in the Sunday Million SE WCOOP Event #4, as ‘Perfect1232‘ took home $231,370 with Russian ‘GeargeFromJ‘ taking home a career score of $193,412 for runner-up. ‘king2173‘ rounded out the chop in thirrd for $174,915 and ‘Pipin811‘ cashed for $94,455 upon being eliminated in fourth.

AloofRevolver‘ of Russia captured an outright victory in the WCOOP Event #7 and walked away with $89,677 with ‘relmat‘ earning $64,478 for second place and ‘OMGitshunt‘ receiving $46,360. There was also a $700 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Three-Max tournament that wrapped up Tuesday. ‘shamthedon‘ won the event for $53,453 and Vladimir ‘vovtroy’ Troyanovskiy was awarded $30,861 for second place.
