The Full Tilt Online Poker Series VIII concluded on Sunday, May 18th, with the $2 Million Guaranteed Main Event that was won by PocketFiver skipoker for over $410,000. Overall, P5'ers captured victories in six of 22 FTOPS VIII events. The series began on May 7th, with the $200+16 No-Limit Holdem 6-handed tournament that had a guaranteed prize pool of $750k. Top-ranked online tournament player Isaac mr. menlo Baron won the kickoff event for nearly $159,000.

The next day, "Davidp18" finished 2nd in the $500+35 No-Limit Holdem Event #3 for $51k. "Kenny Rap" took home $22,700 on May 9th after his 3rd place showing in the $200+16 Pot-Limit Holdem Event #4. Following that, P5'er "jornx" won the $100+9 rebuy Event #7 for $102k, and "Boondy" collected $30k for 2nd place in the heads up Event #8.

"AceSpades" took 3rd in Event #9, and would later cash for another $157k in Event #16. Denmark's top-ranked online tournament player, "Klausen," added to his overall PLB lead after cashing for $161,000 in the $1,000+60 No-Limit Holdem Event #11; ending his tournament life in 3rd place. Another $49k was won by "dmfinm12" for 3rd place in Event #12. The $500+35 Limit HORSE Event #13 was won by "ozenc" for $70k, as "larrygold" place 3rd in that same tournament for $32k.

On May 13th, "blaaaaaaaaaade" took home $56,500 for 2nd place in the $200+16 Turbo Event #14 after edging out "MattSuspect," who added $42k to his online poker bankroll after exiting the tournament in 3rd. "TheBigViking" won nearly $43k in Event #15 after taking down the $200+16 Half Holdem/Half Omaha Pot-Limit tournament. Ranked online tournament player "PURPLEPILS99" earned $112,000 for 3rd place in the $300+22 rebuy Event #16.

Long-time PocketFiver and fan favorite Michael "shipitthisway" McNeil climbed his way to an outright victory in Event #19 for $73,000, and "vetiver" cashed for nearly $20k for 3rd in Event #20. The high-stakes $2,500+120 2-day Event #21 saw nearly 900 people compete, as "Pudge714" earned $241,600 for 3rd place. We'd also like to make special mention of player Halfrek, who won two FTOPS VIII events for nearly $860,000 combined.
