On Wednesday, February 4th, the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) will make its triumphant return. This time around, the poker world can look forward to $15 million in guarantees on Full Tilt Poker throughout the duration of its 25 events. Once again, the Main Event will come with a $535 buy-in as well as at least $2.5 million in prize money. Event #22 is also one that many PocketFivers will want to circle. It’s the No Limit Hold’em Two Day event, which kicks off on Valentine’s Day and boasts a $5,200 buy-in and $2 million up for grabs.
Eleven days after the opening $216 No Limit Hold’em tournament, FTOPS XI will conclude with the Main Event. Last time around, over 5,000 Full Tilt Poker members, including a cavalcade of PocketFivers, hit the virtual felts for the very first tournament. The events that compose FTOPS XI are similar to those that made up the highly-successful FTOPS X. Full Tilt does not list the first event as being six-handed as it was last time and six events have a guaranteed prize pool of at least $1 million.
Winners will take home a Full Tilt jacket, a gold jersey, as well as the sought-after avatar. They’ll also take home a load of cash. Full Tilt is also offering a satellite challenge as well as a "Bouncebackability freeroll" for players who finish on the bubble. In that tournament, entries into the Main Event of FTOPS XII will be on the line. One of the big winners during FTOPS X was PocketFiver Amit amak316 Makhija (pictured at left), who took down the Two Day event for $550,000. Makhija has been on a tear in both the live and online poker arenas, finishing second to John Phan at the Legends of Poker, a World Poker Tour stop, last August. PocketFiver VaShon Watkins took down the FTOPS X Main Event for $450,000.
