On Friday, Garden City Group, the appointed Claims Administrator for US Full Tilt Poker refunds, announced that it had contacted 8,400 petitioners identified as affiliates by Full Tilt Poker. The Group explained the process for affiliates to follow on its website: “The notices provided information and instructions for participating in the petition process. If you received an e-mail notice, please be sure to use the logon credentials provided in the notice when you begin the petition process.”

Affiliates have until March 2 to file a claim.

Over on Two Plus Two, plenty of discrepancies were reported between the amount of money affiliates thought they’d be due from Full Tilt and the amount of money Garden City Group claims they’re eligible to receive. One poster shared his experience: “Tagged as an affiliate. Never received a cent of money as an affiliate. Had ~$55K balance on Black Friday with $7,500 worth of cashouts that I never received and the claims site says $23K.”

One player posted a snippet from the e-mail he received from Garden City that described how the group reportedly arrived at its amount due: “The amount that an eligible petitioner is entitled to receive will equal the final balance in the petitioner’s account with FTP as of April 15, 2011, less any affiliate promotions or affiliate transfers to the petitioner.”

The same poster added, “I guarantee some genius decided that the rakeback payments, which were labeled as ‘Affiliate to Player Transfer,’ are affiliate income for those of us who were labeled as affiliates.”

Another member of the poker community reported, “They say my balance is $33K, my account history shows it at $70K. Completely unacceptable. I haven’t done the math yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just subtracted every rakeback payment ever from my account to come up with that number.”

One person gave his take on what was happening to affiliates, saying, “Probably GCG did something fairly mindless like exclude all payments with ‘affiliate’ in the tag.”

In addition to the notice about affiliates, Garden City Group announced that it’s still reviewing the status of Pros. The Group posted on its Full Tilt Poker claims website, “Please be advised that a review is still underway concerning those players who were flagged by FTP as Pros. Once this review is complete, a separate notice will be sent to Pros who are deemed eligible to file a petition for remission and they will have 30 days from the date of the notice to file a petition.”

We’ll keep you posted on the latest Full Tilt Poker remission news.
