He is now a Nevada resident, having moved from Alabama just two months prior to Black Friday. PocketFives: Do you play on both Nevada sites? Do you have any preference?

Brandon Leopard: WSOP.com hands-down. The software alone on Ultimate Poker is enough to avoid it.

PocketFives: What do you base your current successes online on?

Brandon Leopard: After I moved here and Black Friday happened, I kind of abandoned poker, playing cash games occasionally and focusing on playing music and other endeavors. I was on the verge of hitting something substantial, so Black Friday was quite a divergent point in my life.

When the buzz about internet poker started back, I refocused. It was a major reason I moved here in the first place, so I have been making an effort to play the game as more than a hobby, especially considering I don’t have too many things holding me back like an overly demanding job or children.

PocketFives: What do you like best about playing online poker?

Brandon Leopard: The fact that I can play multiple tournaments all at once while listening to music. I seem to play my best with at least three or four tournaments going. Adjusting to live might be a bit of a challenge this summer. Sundays used to be my favorite day of the week before Black Friday and they are again becoming my favorite day, albeit not quite as exciting.

PocketFives: How did you choose your player name?

Brandon Leopard: Zen is a Japanese form of Buddhism that came originally from China (Chan buddhism). It iterates non-attachment and enlightenment through meditation and expression of your true self, as opposed to other religions or traditions that adhere to dogma or doctrine. Satori is a Japanese word for awakening or enlightenment. An Enso is a circle drawn in one brushstroke, representing the drawer’s true self, and is used as part of Zen practice by some practitioners.

PocketFives: Is there anything else you would like to add?

Brandon Leopard: Thanks for the opportunity to be interviewed by one of my favorite websites! And good luck to all P5ers this summer!
