PocketFives: Tell us how you got started in poker and why it was appealing.

Kevin Campbell: Back around 2006, I was invited to a local home game by a friend. I immediately fell in love with the competition aspect of poker and never looked back. Also, winning money made it even more enjoyable to play. Then around 2008, I saw a commercial for PokerStars and saw I could play poker online, which was a lot more convenient for me than having to travel to a casino.

PocketFives: What are your favorite New Jersey online poker sites to play and why?

Kevin Campbell: My favorite site has to be WSOP.com. I like the flow of their software and also find the payouts to be better than PartyPoker. The structure needs some improvement, in my opinion, and they should offer more freeze-outs. I also like the fact that players can’t ask for a chop when reaching the final table.

PocketFives: What has been your most memorable cash on the New Jersey websites?

Kevin Campbell: I would have to say the first time I won the WSOP.com $10,000 Guarantee back in June. It was my largest cash on any New Jersey site.

PocketFives: To what do you attribute your successplaying online poker?

Kevin Campbell: I would have to say all the time I put in at the tables both live and online. The experience playing has helped me recognize certain spots and make the right decisions. Also, discussing hands with other successful players and getting their feedback helps.
