This week, we were able to interview Nevada poker player JaminOnFaces (pictured). Here’s what he had to say about funnel cake eating, the origins of JaminOnFaces, and his largest Nevada poker cash to date, which came in the inaugural UPC series’ fourth event.

PocketFives: How long have you been playing online poker?

JaminOnFaces: Since the Stone Age.

PocketFives: Do you play on both Nevada online poker sites, Ultimate Pokerand WSOP.com? Do you have any preference between the two?

JaminOnFaces: Whichever site gives me aces more often.

PocketFives: How did you come up with JaminOnFaces?

JaminOnFaces: I love jam. Not jelly, but jam. The “on faces” part comes from playing cards. Occasionally, when I don’t have a spoon or a knife handy, I use a playing card (normally a king, queen, or jack) as a utensil to spread jam on my toast.

PocketFives: What is your biggest cash to date?

JaminOnFaces: In Nevada, $8,000 for winning a UPC event.

PocketFives: What is your favorite game to play?

JaminOnFaces: Bridge.

PocketFives: Do you play any live poker?

JaminOnFaces: Every once in a while.

PocketFives: What is your favorite local poker room?

JaminOnFaces: The Las Vegas Hilton with my main man Mark Shelby, who runs a fantastic ship over there.

PocketFives: Talk about this funnel cake infatuation.

JaminOnFaces: During my youth, I entered numerous funnel cake eating competitions. I often finished in second-to-last due to being the second to puke during them. The powdered sugar did me in. I would also fail due to my strawberry allergy (the cakes were often topped with them). I would swell up looking like Violet from Willy Wonka and my face would pop mounds of puss on my opponents and their cakes. This often would DQ me from the competitions. Oh, and I like fantasy football too.

You can play with JaminOnFaces at Ultimate Pokerand WSOP.com, the two legal and regulated Nevada online poker sites.
