As a new feature here on pocketfives my site www.pokerfox.net will be submitting an article every week written by my partner Hatfield and/or myself. For more information about Hatfield you can check out his web site at www.AdamStemple.com. <READMORE>

I constantly get email from people who want to go pro, or at least make a significant second income from poker. Most people just need some advice on what the best way is to make money and where the information is on learning about the game. To help out these people, and hopefully make for some interesting reading, we are going to present a series of articles on the various pathways to making a living playing poker. In fact we're going to call it "The Pathways Series".

I have played limit and no-limit cash games for a living, ground it out playing sit and go tournaments, and bonus whored for extra cash. 15% of my income over the last few years has also come from multi-table tournaments, and I have done quite a bit of propping. Hatfield has been making part of his living playing poker for 15 years now, and he's our resident high-low expert as well. Between us we have a lot of the bases covered, and we can always find friends who have made a living playing various games, but if you play for a living, or more than a third of your income, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for players who play higher stakes, and also players who play multi-table tournaments and no-limit cash games to give us some perspectives. If you make your money in an odd way, like 7stud high-low or at a very small site propping, we'd love to hear from you as well. If you are interested in helping us out just shoot me an email at pokerfox@hotmail.com and we'll get a questionnaire out to you. Less than ten questions we promise.
