Arguably one of the most accomplished online players in the game, PocketFives member Isaac mr. menlo Baron has parlayed his success on the virtual battlegrounds to make his own name in the physical arena of tournament poker. Coming into Day Six of the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event, Baron sat on a stack of 3 million in chips, good enough to hold down the 28th position at the start of the day. He ended the Main Event in 52nd place for $152,000.

Although he would have four live tournament cashes on the World Poker Tour to his credit in 2006 and 2007 in events that allowed under-21 players to enter, Baron’s true success came to the forefront in 2007 in the online game. In 2007, Baron would crack the $1 million mark in winnings for the year on his way to taking down the first ever CardPlayer Magazine Online Poker Player of the Year award. Although that was an outstanding achievement, he has gone on since then to earn accolades in the live tournament arena.

Baron would garner attention in 2008 for an outstanding run at the European Poker Tour Grand Final, eventually finishing in fourth place for a $932,006 score. Baron would eclipse that lofty sum in taking down a third place finish at this year’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, where he earned a $1,207,599 payday.

Although he has victories in smaller events, Baron has yet to break through with what would be called a signature major victory, even though he has earned over $4.2 million in live tournament action.

You can find him on PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker site, under the user name WestmenloAA. He has a win in that site’s Sunday Million and took down a SCOOP title. He is known by many of his peers as an extremely disciplined player who is capable of outplaying his opponents in a wide range of situations.
