The high-stakes action on Full Tilt Poker has been taken to a new level. Recently, Swedish online poker newcomer Isildur1 dropped a seven-figure pot to Durrrr Challenge participant Patrik Antonius. The $1.3 million exchange marked the largest online poker pot in history and is generating a considerable amount of buzz for Full Tilt as the $25,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Heads-Up World Championship played out on this weekend on the world’s second largest online poker site.

The hand between Antonius and Isildur1 took place at a $500/$1,000 Pot Limit Omaha table and began with the Swede raising to $3,000 pre-flop with 6-9-7-8 and Antonius pushing the action to $9,000 with A-K-K-3. Isildur1 fired back by raising to $27,000 and Antonius put in another raise, this time to $81,000. Isildur1 called and the flop came 4-5-2. A raising war following the flop led to $1.3 million being in the center of the table and the board ran out 5-9, giving Antonius the win after Isildur1’s various draws failed to hit. Antonius has now won the two largest pots in online poker history*, both at the expense of Isildur1.
The high-stakes action online has been brisk in recent weeks, even as Tom “durrrr” Dwan (pictured at left) held a live version of the Million Dollar Challenge in London against Marcello “luckexpress” Marigliano, Sammy “Any Two” George, and Ilari Ziigmund Sahamies All told, Dwan ended up nearly $800,000 at the expense of the trio in the European city, $750,000 of which came as a result of a thumping of George. However, it has been but a distant memory given the attention paid to the online tables in epic battles featuring Isildur1, Ivey, Dwan, Cole South, and Antonius.

In a chat posted on PocketFives.com, Ivey, fresh off a final table appearance in the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, revealed that he took 10:1 odds that Isildur1 would win the $25,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Heads-Up World Championship, which played out on Full Tilt Poker this weekend. One PocketFives.com member, zeppelinzoso16, did not look kindly upon Ivey’s bet, explaining, “Betting on somebody other than yourself to win in a game you are playing is not ethical and would not be acceptable in any other sport/game.” The final four in the Pot Limit Omaha Championship were BigBlueBonzzzai, Browndog19, PostflopAction, and UgotaBanana.

Meanwhile, Frank Frank1The1Tank Calo posted a thread entitled “The Real Isildur1” and commented, “[For what it's worth], I have received intelligence by some very credible sources (who shall be kept completely private) who said pretty confidently who isildur1 is. So I give you the knowledge I have (with like 99% certainy but not quite 100% yet) that it is Robert Flink aka Gulkines.” SpewyNit was among those perplexed over Isildur’s identity. In the same thread, he questioned, “All very confusing and I wish Ivey/Dwan/Antonius would tell us who it was as wouldn't they know who they were playing?”

Another poster gave his take on the identity of Isildur1: “Barry Greenstein (pictured at right) on PokerRoad said the name had not been guessed on the 2+2 forums and Robert Flink was said many times... He said it is a young swedish player whose name will come out, but he isn't a known person yet.” Champ03 explained that the high-stakes newcomer may finally be hitting the wall: “man he took a beating tonight so far at the tables. Think his run is over and now he is going to get a taste of what it is like to run awful.”

According to PokerTableRatings.com, Isildur1 has taken a commanding $3.9 million off of Dwan in 38,000 hands. The next highest tally belongs to Sahamies, who has contributed $854,000 to Isildur1’s bankroll over 2,700 hands. Other “best friends” of Isildur1 include South ($707,000), Haseeb Qureshi ($452,000), David Benyamine ($297,000), UgotaBanana ($293,000), Observer84 ($110,000), jungleman12 ($46,000), I Win Flips ($46,000), and Spirit Rock ($44,000).

While Isildur1 has taken $3.9 million off Dwan, he’s dropped $3.6 million to Antonius. Other “worst enemies” of Isildur1 who have earned more than $100,000 off of him include Phil Ivey (-$2.7 million), trex313 (-$144,000), and Brian Hastings (-$130,000).

 6.
I thought the blinds were $1500 - $3000... I watched the hands live and Im pretty positive these were the blinds.. Max buy in was $200,000 and at one of the tables Antonius was sitting with $2.4 million.. but should be noted Isildur1 was playing 6 tables with 4 against PA and 2 against Ivey.. should have never tried taking on 2 Giants at one time.. in the last 30 mins Isildur gained a million and a half back he was down. Ruthless blood game for sure.
