For the second time in the last three months, PocketFiver King Lincfrom Germany emerged as the champion of the $1,000 Super Tuesday on PokerStars, taking down almost $78,000 in the process.

He also won the tournament back in July, which we’re going to recap in this article. The players went about the action as if they had a train to catch, with the field reaching the 54 players who earned a cash in only 5.5 hours. At this point in the tournament, mahmuttt88was ruling the roost and looking for a big score.

Another 90 minutes brought the field down to the final 18 and mahmuttt88 was still part of the mix. He was in the center of the pack, however, as stepping to the head of the class was king2173. Of particular interest over the next few eliminations was the performance of longtime PocketFiver Shyam s_dot111 Srinivasan, who was eventually eliminated from the tournament in 15th place.

mahmuttt88 could not parlay his early success into a final table, dropping out in 11th place, as the final nine lined up with VakioAssa at the head of the pack and Cashcid Linc (King Linc) in the middle.

Linc’s big break came in eliminating O”Pazzzo” in eighth place. After O”Pazzzo” popped his remaining stack in the center with pocket sixes, Linc decided to isolate with pocket jacks. An uneventful board rolled out that didn’t have a six in the mix, relegating O”Pazzzo” out of the event and Linc up the leaderboard.

Linc continued to play an aggressive game. After limping in from under the gun, Linc saw an all-in from DEX888 and called. Linc wasn’t in good shape with his suited A-9 running up against pocket tens and the Q-4-J flop kept DEX in the lead.

A ten on the turn gave DEX a set but opened up a few doors for Linc, one of which came home on the river to give Linc a Broadway straight and the win. Moments later, Linc took down 1TheSpiteful to go to heads-up play against VakioAssa with a 3-1 lead.

Although he fought valiantly, VakioAssa could never get back into the match. After a 30-minute heads-up battle, Linc used a K-9 to bust VakioAssa’s pocket nines when a 2-4-K flop came to the fore. Looking for the case nine, VakioAssa instead saw a jack come on the turn and another jack on the river to seal his doom and give Linc the win:

1. Cashcid Linc (Germany): $77,911
2. VakioAssa (Finland): $57,855
3. 1Spiteful (Slovenia): $42,630
4. DEX888 (Germany): $32,480
5. bartek901 (Mexico): $22,736
6. king2173 (Austria): $17,255
7. cwirek1982 (Poland): $13,195
8. O”Pazzzo” (Netherlands): $9,135
9. Russell “rdcrsn” Carson (Canada): $6,739

His most recent Super Tuesday win was worth $92,000 and came after defeating a strong field of 487 entrants. You can read a recap of that running on the PokerStars Blog. Congrats to Linc on his recent domination!
