On Wednesday night, the 15th installment of the PocketFives.com Open played out. This time, action originated from the virtual felts of PokerStars. A massive field of 921 players turned out, creating a prize pool approaching $19,000. The top 198 players finished in the money after registration was left open for an hour, with a minimum payout of $21.58 up for grabs. When the smoke cleared, Missouri PocketFiver matdon460 brought home the title and banked $3,100 for the win.

The winner now boasts a PocketFives.com Open badge in his profile. In May, matdon460 took third in the PokerStars $30,000 Guarantee for $2,900. One month prior, matdon460 had finished fifth in the same tournament for $1,400. Heads-up, matdon460 defeated John pimpnuho Feore, who hails from Raleigh and walked away with $2,300. Last November, Feoree final tabled the Full Tilt Poker $750,000 Guarantee and pulled down $32,000.

Third place in Wednesday nights PocketFives.com Open belonged to New Yorks Iplaythabored. A former winner of the PokerStars $11 rebuy and Full Tilt Turbo Fiddy, Iplaythabored hauled in $1,700. Landing in the fourth spot on the leaderboard was Massachusetts poker player bonflizubi, who banked $1,200.

Two longtime members of the community finished in fifth and sixth in the PocketFives.com Opens 15th running. Arizonas that_pope has been a member of PocketFives.com since April 2005, while BBOY3110 (pictured) is fresh off celebrating his third anniversary of joining. The two banked $900 and $700, respectively.

Pennsylvanias siberianex landed in seventh place, while New Yorks hurron finished in eighth. Rounding out the final table on PokerStars was Canadas J_farah, the lone non-American to reach the final nine:

1. matdon460 - $3,145 (matdon460)
2. The Ravioli - $2,299 (pimpnuho)
3. Iplaythbored - $1,736 (Iplaythabored)
4. abmarks - $1,276 (bonflizubi)
5. that_pope - $920 (that_pope)
6. BBOY3110 - $732 (BBOY3110)
7. siberianex - $544 (siberianex)
8. Hurron - $357 (hurron)
9. J_farah - $193 (J_farah)

Several $215 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) seats were given out to players who knocked out PocketFives.com admins. A total of six were on the line and each player who recorded a bounty also received a sleek PocketFives.com shirt:

1. N 82 50 24, WINNER: slks
2. dhubermex, WINNER: BigBossman1
3. cypradn, WINNER: SandyRebecca
4. WOWLUCK, WINNER: huntingfool
5. PaiGowChamp, WINNER: stloucrew
6. SandyRebecca, (DOUBLE BOUNTY) WINNER: JoePo007

In PocketFives.com admin on admin violence, Sandy knocked out Dan after drawing out on pocket queens with K-7. Sandy checked on a K-K-X flop and Dan shoved all-in, which needless to say didnt end well. As a result, Michigans JoePo received two WCOOP tickets by knocking out Sandy. The 2010 PokerStars WCOOP begins on Sunday and boasts a total guaranteed prize pool of $50 million. The Main Event carries a high-dollar $5,200 price tag and guarantees a whopping $10 million. Read about all of the bounties up for grabs.

Meanwhile, 45 players must submit their shipping information by Tuesday, September 7th at Noon ET in order to collect their durable (and really comfortable) PocketFives.com shirts. Please head to the thread in Poker Discussion if your PokerStars name appears on the following list:
