My European Adventure[ return to main articles page ]

Hi everybody! It's 3:30 a.m. in Vienna right now, and I have now been awake for two hours....when is my sleep schedule going to resemble "normal?"

I flew in yesterday (or earlier today, depending how you look at it), after being lucky enough to get a chance to come on this trip with John "Texas Troll" Tollefsen, who won seats in the EPT events in Vienna and Monte Carlo. The first thing we did in Vienna was go to the PokerStars welcome party. They had some good food and drinks there, and after spending about a half hour mingling with some other online players, we decided to call it a night, since we'd both hardly slept in over 24 hours.

One disappointing thing about the first day is that we got to Vienna a little too late for me to play in the super-satellite, which was a 100 euro R&A, so it looks like I will just be watching this one. We will see if I can pull something off in Monte Carlo, though.

The Vienna tournament starts Thursday afternoon here at 2 p.m., which is about 7 a.m. back home in Nashville, so I doubt many of you all will be up when the Troll gets dealt his first hand. It's 3 days long in total, with the last day being just the final table. GL Troll!

We travel to Monte Carlo on Sunday, and that is a city I am REALLY looking forward to see. I will be giving a few reports throughout the trip, so if you're interested, stay tuned!
