Stats for ChaosTheory, the top-ranked player in Nevada

It’s a two-man race for the top spot in PocketFives’ Nevada rankings right now between ‘ChaosTheory’and ‘MastAAce08’. The former is currently ranked #1 in the state with a PLB score of 1,971 points, while MastAAce08 trails by just 67. The two are 400 points ahead of the #3 ranked player in Nevada.

Let’s start with ‘ChaosTheory’, who won the WSOP.com $10,000 Guaranteed Sunday Reloader four days before Christmas for $3,500 and 107 PLB Points. It was his third win on WSOP.com in December and he already has five cashes on the regulated Nevada site in 2016.

ChaosTheory started playing poker seven years ago and told PocketFives in an interview how he has managed to grow and adapt his game over the years: “I watch videos online, which is nice because if I can learn one new thing to implement in my game, then it’s worth it. But, having a lot of trial and error and trying different things to see what works have been the most beneficial.”

MastAAce08, whose real name is David Goodman, is right on ChaosTheory’s heels in the rankings and fresh off a month in which he won five tournaments on WSOP.com, including a $4,000 hit for taking down the Sunday Reloader. Two of his wins in December came in the site’s $2,000 Guaranteed No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack.

Josh ‘VPIHokie1970’ Reynoldshas moved up one spot in the Nevada rankings since the beginning of December and now sits at #3. He hasn’t recorded an in-the-money finish in tracked tournaments since December 19, but took down two MTTs last month, including the WSOP.com $3,000 Guaranteed Nightly No Limit Hold’em. According to his Twitter feed, Reynolds headed back to Virginia, so we’ll see if he plays more in Nevada or if the move to the East Coast is permanent.

Moving up one spot this week in Nevada to #4 is Christina lindeyloo22 Lindley, who relocated from North Carolina to Las Vegas after Black Friday. Lindley has 22 career wins in tournaments we track along with almost half-a-million dollars in live cashes, according to the Hendon Mob.

Then there’s PaulDewald, who is ranked #6 in Nevada and holds several superlatives for the state. First, he took down the WSOP.com Nevada Player of the Year leaderboard in 2015. He also holds the record for the most number of cashes by a Nevada player all-time at 5,329. Dewald has $143,000 in winnings on WSOP.com in Nevada and owns four ITM finishes already in January. He moved up one spot this week.
