Nevada Weekday Tournament Review for January 3, 2014
This week, Ultimate Poker held four tournaments with first place payouts approaching $1,000 or more, the $2,500 Nightly events. There were 129 runners generating a prize pool of $11,738.50 and paying a total of 20 spots. The highest cash this week went to Xaston for $1,237. In fact, Jaime Xaston Kaplan (pictured) took down a total of two first place finishes and a second place for over $3,100, which is more than 25% of the entire weekly price pool. Can you say Beast Mode?
Rick2007was the only other player who cashed in more than one event, getting two fifth places finishes for $487 total.
WSOP.comran four $3,000 events as scheduled and only one had an overlay, Tuesday’s event, for $350. The rest of the events exceeded the guarantees. There were 224 runners with a total prize pool of 13,725. The player with the highest cash win was hermanwith a payout of $1,116.50 for taking down Thursday night’s event.
Five players had multiple cashes. RWinnhad with three cashes for $1,356 and whiteyslacks with three wins for $1,034. Three players each had two cashes: legumfor $504, NVpoker_ for $447, and RFattyFattfor $422.
