Nevada Weekday Tournament Review for May 16, 2014
In Nevada this week, WSOP.com ran three of its four $3,000 events as scheduled. On Wednesday, the site ran a special satellite for two $1,500 seats to the 2014 World Series of Poker. All of the events exceeded the guarantees. There were 249 runners with a total prize pool of $18,875.
The players with the highest valued prizes won were BShriever5and Dchiti, each winning a $1,500 seat to an upcoming WSOP event. It was the second straight week that BShriever5 won this event and the first time that we have seen Dchiti at a final table. BShriever5 has cashed 31 times and accumulated over $25,000 in cash and prizes this year.
The player with the highest cash win was Rick2007with a payout of $1,486 for taking down Monday night’s event. Rick2007 also cashed in Tuesday’s event for $558. He now has over 20 cashes and almost $11,000 in earnings.
MrMayortook down Tuesday’s $3,000 event for $1,348. It is his first win in four cashes since he came onto the scene in February.
On Thursday, DavidStetlerwon the $3,000 event for $1,395. With only two cashes to his credit, DavidStetler seems to settle for first place finishes only. His last win was on May 5.
This week, Ultimate Poker held three of its four scheduled $2,000 Nightly tournaments. There were 85 runners generating a prize pool of $8,872 and paying a total of 14 spots. The highest cash this week went to miggsfor $1,328, the second time he has won this event in the last three days. With three cashes to date, miggs has won $3,444.
