Nevada Weekend Tournament Review for February 24, 2014
In Nevada, WSOP.comkicked off its weekend with four major events. WSOP.com had 302 runners vying for the 41 available prizes totaling $35,775. One of the events was a $215 buy-in tournament with the top prize being an entry to the 2014 WSOP Main Event, worth $10,000. The player with the highest individual cash this weekend on WSOP.com was AC_SLATER in the WSOP Main Event Qualifier, winning a $10,000 seat into the 2014 Main Event. That event had an overlay of $755, as the guarantee was not met.
You can see below that AC_SLATER was also the big winner on Ultimate Poker this weekend, which made for a truly monumental weekend. Must be nice to bank a $10,000 WSOP seat and nearly $3,000 in cash in a single day.
With just two major wins to his credit this year, Juantoo3foreis yet another grinder to keep an eye on. He likes playing in the $15,000 Sundays and had a win last month to go along with a second place finish this month for a total of $7,380. That is a win rate of $3,690 a month if Juantoo3fore can keep up the pace.
This weekend saw Ultimate Poker run five major events. There were 233 runners fighting for the 37 prize spots available, totaling $22,568. The player with the highest individual cash was AC Slater in the Sunday $10,000 for $2,658.78.
