In Nevada, WSOP.comkicked off its weekend with four events with first place payouts approaching $1,000 or more. WSOP.com had 246 runners vying for the 41 available prizes totaling $27,000. The player with the highest individual cash this weekend on WSOP.com was bradjin the $15000 Guaranteed for $4,845. This was bradj’s first cash in these events. We will be watching him for more action in the future.

Keep an eye out for VPIHokie1970, who has been very hot of late, having cashed 11 times since December 2013. He already has won more than $10,000 playing these higher buy-in events. We chatted with him at the tables and hope to interview him soon. He has taken down three events outright. He also has two second and third place finishes, proving he is a very consistent player.

This weekend saw Ultimate Poker run five events with first place payouts approaching $1,000 or more. There were 208 runners fighting for the 28 prize spots available, totaling $21,233. The player with the highest individual cash was Reggie31in the Sunday $10,000 for $2,900. That event had an overlay of $991, as the guarantee was not met.
