Nevada Weekend Tournament Review for September 15, 2014
In Nevada, WSOP.com kicked off its weekend with seven major events including the Weekend Warm-Up $5,000 Guarantee and Re-Entry R&A $3,000 Guarantee on Saturday and the Freezeout and $15,000 Weekly Guarantee on Sunday. WSOP.com had 395 runners vying for the 57 available prizes totaling $38,439.
The player with the highest individual cash was Volmyin the Sunday $15,000 for $4,481. Volmy also won the Sunday Freezeout for $955 for a total of $5,437, just on Sunday. Of note, PocketFives member Josh Reynolds‘ two second place finishes as VPIHokie1970(pictured) brings him to almost $64,000 in winnings for 2014.
This weekend saw Ultimate Poker run seven major events including the start of the Big 25 series, which runs until September 21. There were 265 runners fighting for the 36 prize spots available totaling $22,421.
The player with the highest individual cash was CookieMonstrin the Sunday $10,000 for $2,900. That event had an overlay of $2,247, as the guarantee was not met. That was CookieMonstr’s second final table and second finish in the Sunday $10,000. Last week, CookieMonstr finished fifth for $800.
