The New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOP) is back for its second edition in a little more than a week on PartyPoker. The series takes place from April 16 to 26, guaranteeing $1 million over the 35 scheduled events with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $1,000. Many New Jersey poker players already have their eyes on Event #30, taking place on April 26, which also doubles as the NJCOP II $150,000 Guaranteed Main Event. While some players are expected to pony up the $185+$15 buy-in for this tournament, many others will get their chance via online qualifiers the site will be running.

The NJCOP II schedule brings something to just about every type of tournament player with poker variants including No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Pot Limit Omaha H/L, and Seven Card Stud along with a wide variety of formats including full ring, six-max, rebuy, turbo, bounty, and super bounty.

Just like last year, NJCOP was strategically planned to coincide with both the Borgata Spring Poker Open and the World Poker Tour Championship. Regardless of whether you live in New Jersey, you are allowed to play on all New Jersey licensed sites as long as you are physically located within the state’s borders. It is easy to see how this could attract a wider audience of players than if the series occurred at a different time.

To help attract players coming for live action to play in NJCOP II, PartyPoker allows players to deposit and withdraw directly from the cashier cage at Borgata.

Director of US for bwin.party Jeffrey Haas discussed the strategic planning of the events, saying, “We are proud to announce the schedule for the second annual New Jersey Championship of Online Poker and offer yet another $1 million in guaranteed prize pools for our players. With NJCOP II running alongside the Borgata Spring Poker Open and the WPT World Championship, PartyPoker looks forward to welcoming back both current as well as new players to our Garden State site.”

He added, “We hope they enjoy pitching their skills online or through their mobile devices to win the massive prize pools on offer.”
