PocketFives is home to the best online poker players on the web. Last week, its true colors showed again, as another member of the site won the PokerStars Sunday Million. This time a lower stakes player emerged victorious. Adam “Omoneyman0” Thoutt beat out a field of 6,567 entrants to take down the Sunday spectacular and pocket $110,323.42 as part of a four-way chop. PocketFives caught up with Thoutt a few days after his big win to learn more about the latest major accomplishment in online poker by a member of the site.

“When the final table began, I was eighth in chips. I played pretty tightly and didn’t try to get too creative or anything.” Almost immediately, Thoutt would increase his chip stack considerably without even showing his hands: “My biggest swing probably came when there were eight players left and a player raised in front of me and I pushed with pocket queens. I didn't get called. The very next hand, the same exact thing happened, only I had A-K this time. Those two hands basically doubled me up.”

With his chip stack growing and players being sent to the rail, talk of a chop grew: “The next thing I knew, we were four-handed and decided to chop. I was short-stacked, but I think I worked a decent deal where I guaranteed myself more than third place money. When we started again, one of the other players dropped quickly and then three-handed, I had a big hand where we got all in pre-flop. I had pocket aces and my hand held. In the final hand, I flopped a flush draw and a gut-shot straight draw. He called my all-in with bottom pair and I hit my flush on the river, putting an end to the tournament and giving me the final $30,000 that was on the line.”

His story of how he came to be is remarkable: “For about a six-month period in the middle of last year, the only thing I played was $27 SNG’s. I would play 16 at a time and made some decent money. Around November, I got burned out with the whole poker thing and didn't really play much at all. By the time the New Year started, I decided to get a real job. Consequently, I didn't really play any poker until about May, when I put $100 on just to see what I could do with it.”

With $100 deposited just three short months ago, the real fun began and Thoutt’s interest in poker was rekindled: “I really started to get back into it and thought about playing seriously again. When I woke up on Sunday, I had about $165 in my account and I felt like playing the PokerStars Sunday Million. I told myself I would play satellites all morning to qualify. If I did, I would play and see what happened; if not, I would deposit a couple hundred dollars and start grinding. I qualified in the last satellite I played in, leaving me $6 in my account during the whole tournament.”

Thoutt has now established his name in the online poker world. Armed with $110,323.42 plus the $6 he had in his account during the tournament, we estimate his total online poker bankroll to be around $110,329.42, enough to play the Sunday Million every week for quite some time. If that doesn’t pique his interest, he can attend every single Colorado Rockies and Denver Nuggets game with his parents (who have season tickets) and buy them all the nachos they can handle. Other options include buying the drinks for the members of his bowling league.

Congratulations to Adam “Omoneyman0” Thoutt on winning the PokerStars Sunday Million and best of luck to you and all PocketFivers in the future. Visit PokerStars for more details.
