Only a half-dozen more eliminations are needed for action to end in the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event until October. Among those who have fallen by the wayside is Paul Volpe (pictured), also known as paulgees81, who was eliminated in 20th place for $294,000 after calling all-in before the flop in a three-way hand against Steven Gee and Danny Wong.

Volpe held A-K offsuit in the hand, Gee showed pocket eights, and Wong, who had both players covered, tabled the best hand with pocket tens. The eventful flop came 5-6-7, which gave Gee an open-ended straight draw. The turn was a jack, keeping Wong in the lead and potentially setting up a double elimination, but a four on the river gave Gee the straight and he doubled up.

Volpe, however, was broke and took to Twitter to say succinctly, "Out Ggs."

Following Volpe out the door about 20 minutes later was longtime PocketFives member Jamie Robbins (pictured), aka TheNew, who shoved all-in for his last 2.9 million in chips on a board showing 9-5-4-10 with two diamonds. Jacob Balsiger called with pocket nines for a set, while Robbins had K-J of diamonds for a flush draw and straight draw.

Robbins, rooting for a queen or diamond that didn't pair the board, watched in agony as a black three hit on the river. He banked the same $294,000 as Volpe. You'll recall that Robbins finished 11th in the 2009 Main Event for over $800,000, giving him two cashes in a three-year span in the $10,000 buy-in tournament for over $1 million combined.

As the action in the Main Event resumes following the dinner break, here's how the 15 players remaining stack up:

1. Jacob Balsiger - 25,730,000
2. Robert Salaburu - 22,245,000
3. Scott Abrams - 21,160,000
