To close out the week, Woody CrazedZachDeck (pictured), who is known on PokerStarsas plplaya, became the eighth person to win more than one SCOOP event this year. Overall, he earned his third career SCOOP title; he is the 14th person to have won at least three SCOOP tournaments.

Deck’s latest victory came in a $700 HORSE event that drew 245 players and had a prize pool of $162,000. Deck, who calls the UK home, was fourth in chips entering the eight-handed final table, but by the time heads-up play rolled around, he had a slight lead over fellow PocketFiver Thrash370.

The two briefly discussed a deal, but couldn’t come to terms. The PokerStars Blog explained, “plplaya quickly agreed to the proposed ICM chop which would award him $28,100.46 and Thrash370 $29,145.24, but Thrash370 thought his edge was worth a little more.” The tournament ultimately ended during Omaha Hi-Lo with Deck hitting a pair of deuces on the final card to lock up his third SCOOP championship:

1. Woody “plplaya” Deck (United Kingdom): $32,992
2. Thrash370 (Costa Rica): $25,253
3. Ozzy “Ozzy 87” Sheikh (Mexico): $18,736
4. dimas78 (Russia): $13,848
5. Gigaloff (Russia): $8,960
6. Mike “SirWatts” Watson (Canada): $7,331
7. ekziter (Belarus): $5,702
8. toril274 (Russia): $4,480

In addition to the $700 HORSE event, Deck won a $215 Stud tournament during this year’s SCOOP. His first SCOOP win came in 2012 in a $2,100 No Limit Omaha Hi-Lo tournament for $51,000. He’s the 64th-ranked PocketFives member in Lithuania and #24 in the city of Vilnius.

We should point out that Watson, who has already won two SCOOP events this year, made his sixth SCOOP final table of 2015. He’s #2 on this year’s SCOOP Leaderboard.
