On Tuesday, August 7 at 9:00pm ET, the PocketFives League, exclusive to members of our community, will return to HogWild Poker. And, once again, players from the United States and across the world are welcome to enter. This is a completely free league that pans out over the course of four Tuesdays during the month of August. You'll earn points for each finish in the events and you can play in as many of them as you'd like. July's league ended in a tie between California's nicks and Vermont's sbialczak, who chopped the top two prizes. One received $80 and a PocketFives t-shirt, while the other banked $120 in cash. For nicks, it was his first time entering the PocketFives League on HogWild Poker and he got started with a bang, posting, "My 1st time in this series. Been having fun so far. Nice to see a good turnout each week."
A PocketFives member from Kentucky, Sarbie, told the community about her experience in the Official League Thread: "I had so much fun this month playing in the HWP series. Can't wait for a fresh start in August. I crashed and burned the last two games, but taking home some Hog Bucks is never a bad thing! Congrats to all the winners."The top four finishers in the HogWild Poker League for PocketFives members receive cash, while the fifth through tenth place finishers land Hog Bucks, which we'll get into the meaning of later in this article. Three finishers also get PocketFives t-shirts, and let's not forget that the league is completely free to play:

One of the most popular promotions on HogWild Poker is the Staking Series. In it, HogWild Poker is giving away $500 buy-ins to live events to ten players every single month. Players can choose when and where they spend the $500 and over 100 HogWild players have been staked so far.To play in the HogWild Staking Series, just register for games in the series each month. HogWild only counts your top eight scores and when the smoke clears on August, the top 10 finishers on the Staking leaderboard will get packages worth $500 apiece. By the way, the Staking Series games on Sundays and Wednesdays take the form of $400 freerolls, so you might walk away with a little cash in hand even if you don't get staked.
There are also bonus games in the Staking Series that require Hog Bucks to enter. So, you can use Hog Bucks won from our PocketFives League to enter them, if you'd like. Hog Bucks are also available for purchase and you can wager them with friends and tablemates within the client via a variety of side bets.
