PocketFives Rankings: Time to Up the AnteSvante

Sweden’s Anton AnteSvanteWigg (pictured) hit it big in the PocketFives Rankingsthis week, moving up 10 spots to land at #14 in the world. This is two spots off his all-time high and comes on the heels of a blockbuster start to November in which Wigg finished third in an FCOOP High-Roller, was the runner-up in the PartyPokerSuper High Roller, and won the PokerStars Big $109 and Hot $75 for a total of over $80,000.

Wigg has been a member of PocketFives since 2008. Incredibly, he is up to almost $6 million in career online tournament winnings, the largest chunk of which was worth $227,000 and came by winning the Sunday Million six years ago.

Swedes own five of the top nine spots worldwide in the PocketFives Rankings, including the #1 position. Here’s a look at the group:

There wasn’t that much movement in the top 100 of the Rankings this week and Wigg was the lone newcomer to the top 10.

Denmark’s YukoEgawa(pictured) entered the top 100 at #77, his best ranking ever. He has four wins and seven top-three finishes in tournaments we track since October 26 and plays as LebleuPetit on PartyPoker.

Finally this week, we wanted to talk about England’s Fold Machiii, who cracked the top 100 at #65 in the world, his highest slotting ever. He had a solid October 28, winning the Wednesday $320 on PokerStars and the site’s $109 Rebuy for a combined $28,000. Fold Machiii boasts $1.4 million in career tournament winnings.
