Sweden was well represented in the PocketFives Online Poker Rankingsat the end of 2013. To cap off the year, Sheater became the first #1 ranked player from Sweden ever, a reign that will continue in the first Rankings update of 2014. In fact, the Goteborg resident is about 200 PLB Points ahead of second place.

Moving up to #5 this week, his highest ranking ever, is Sweden’s inhoo(pictured), who was previously ranked #13. He is the top ranked player in the city of Gothenburg and won the PokerStars Hotter $44 on January 5 for $16,000 and 326 PLB Points. The day before, he final tabled the PokerStars.fr Sunday Million, landing in fourth place and taking away a healthy $78,000 and 510 PLB Points.

In December, inhoo won his third PocketFives Triple Crown, his first since earning a pair of Triple Crowns in March 2012. He is about $200,000 away from passing $4 million in tracked scores and plays on PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker room, under the user name robinho.

Charlie chaz_man_chazCombes (pictured) jumped from #26 worldwide to #11 on the strength of a win in the PokerStars Sunday $100 Rebuy over the weekend for $47,000 following a three-way chop. He had three scores of at least $10,000 in a one-week span that started on December 22 that included a final table in the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $21,000. Combes received his $4 million cash badge two days ago and is the top ranked player in the historic hamlet of Winchester, England.

Also partaking in the three-way chop of the PokerStars Sunday $100 Rebuy three days ago was Bulgaria’s fzkk, who finished second and earned $45,000. He entered the top 100 of the Rankings this week and landed at #55, his highest spot ever. He has had quite a run recently, winning the PokerStars Hotter $75, $320 No Limit Hold’em, and Big $22, all in the last two weeks.

TJ 1bigaceholeUlmer (pictured) jumped nearly 30 spots from #96 to #68 worldwide. Ulmer is a former #1 ranked player who has recorded 42 tracked in the money finishes already this year for $42,000 total. Ulmer has booked $5.7 million in online poker winnings over his career and is #3 in Montreal, Canada. He was last ranked #1 in September 2012.

Romania’s fbg1919 reentered the top 100 worldwide to settle at #71, 10 spots off his all-time high of #61 set in 2012. He final tabled the same PokerStars.fr Sunday Million as inhoo and cashed out for $113,000 officially and 606 PLB Points. He final tabled a WCOOP Challenge event to close out 2013 and added another $14,000 to his bankroll. fbg1919 is the top Romanian player in the PocketFives Rankings and lives in Iasi.

Sweden’s Sheater, lukethafluke, and inhoo can all be found in the top five worldwide this week, while lena900, who also calls the European nation home, is at #10:
