Happy New Year from all of us at PocketFives. The very first update of the year to the PocketFives Online Poker Rankingsis already upon us and we have a brand new entrant into the top 10 worldwide, lasagnaaammm. He calls Malta home and has $1.4 million in career tracked winnings, including a pair of scores in 2013 that eclipsed $200,000.

His first mega-score came in November, when he finished fourth in a PokerStarsWCOOP $10,300 No Limit Hold’em Eight-Max 2X Chance tournament for $238,000 officially. Three months later, he was off to the races again, this time final tabling the WCOOP Challenge Main Event for $209,000 officially. He is a relative newcomer to PocketFives, having signed up an account in September, and is the top dog in the Malta poker community.

The top 10 was pretty steady this week, with the top five players staying the same as last week. Outside of that group, Christopher NigDawG Brammer moved up 20 spots to land at #16 this week. He was ranked as high as #1 in 2012 and final tabled last weekend’s PokerStars Sunday Million for $70,000 and 500 PLB Points. He had a pretty productive Sunday on the virtual felts last weekend, winning the Second Chance for $47,000 and final tabling the Full Tilt Poker T-Rex for another $10,000. On December 21, Tozzatto finished first in the PokerStars Big $162 and banked $29,000, one of seven tracked wins he has had in the past 20 days.

Ukraine’s gosuoposum1 moved up 33 spots to land at #51 worldwide. He was ranked as high as #2 in the world last year and won the PokerStars Big $162 two days before Christmas for $19,000.
