We have a new #1 ranked player on PocketFives, Sweden’s Lukas lukethaflukeBerglund (pictured). He has been a fast climber up the Online Poker Rankingsas of late, and his latest jump sent him from #7 to #1. He took down the WinamaxHigh Roller on Tuesday for $7,300 and finished first in the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic over the weekend for a spectacular payday of $56,000 officially.

Swedes own three of the top five spots in the Rankings worldwide, including the top two. The new top dog in Sweden and the world, Berglund snapped a picture of himself at the top of the Rankings and Tweeted on Wednesday, “Ranked number 1 this week on @pocketfives.” He is up to 83 tracked victories, 222 top three finishes, and $3.1 million in scores across nearly 3,000 in the money finishes. Berglund is one of 40 PocketFivers with PLB scores in the capital city of Stockholm.

Also making waves this week is Bryan bparisParis, who moved up from #11 to #6, one spot shy of his highest showing ever. Paris has $6.4 million in tracked online MTT cashes, the eighth highest total of any PocketFiver, and was ranked #5 in 2011. He is the top ranked player in Canada, where you can find him in Winnipeg.

One of the biggest leaps in the top 100 went to Paul padjesBerende (pictured), who moved up from #71 worldwide to #41, or 30 spots. He had a blockbuster Sunday that included wins in the Full Tilt Poker $250,000 Guaranteed and PokerStars $215 Rebuy for a total of $69,000 and over 800 PLB Points. That will certainly help you climb toward the top spot in the Rankings. Berende is the #1 player from the Netherlands and plays on Full Tilt under the handle freddiewalli.

Another enormous jump inside the top 100 went to ekziter, who shot up 49 spots to #43.
