What a week for Chris moorman1Moorman (pictured), the most successful PocketFiver in history. The same week he became the first PocketFiver ever to win four Monthly PLB titles, Moorman reached the top of our Online Poker Rankings with 7,712 Points, four points ahead of second place. If that weren’t enough, he is also third in chips entering the final table play down day at the World Poker Tour’s LA Poker Classic. It’s just another week for the top online poker player in the world.

Moorman won the February Monthly PLB race by over 800 points, one of the largest margins of victory ever. Griffin Flush_Entity Benger exalted Moorman’s recent dominance on Twitter, saying, “It’s bloody badass that @Moorman1 returns to #1 the same day he’s playing a Day 4 for 1 million. #legend.” This is Moorman’s 12th stint atop the PocketFives Rankings, dating back to the end of 2008.

Benger was another high-flyer in the Rankings, moving up to #5 from #23. Benger posted on Twitter, “Been grinding a bit more online the last few weeks and it’s paying dividends. Jumped from #23 to #5 in worldwide in the @pocketfives Rankings!” Benger finished second in the PokerStars Sunday Supersonic last weekend for $51,000 and 419 PLB Points to help his cause. He has over two-dozen tracked scores already in March, a month that is only five days old.

Sweden’s Yaya24rose 18 spots to settle at #31 worldwide. He was formerly ranked as high as #23 in 2012 and is just $2,500 away from earning a $3 million cash badge. Yaya24 is one of 11 Swedes in the top 50; three of the top four players are from Sweden.

After reentering his poker site user names on March 1, Norway’s Assad91 returned to the top 100 of the Rankings at #34. He is the top-ranked player in Norway and has over $2 million in winnings from online MTTs, about three-quarters of which has come on PokerStars. His seven largest cashes have all been on that site; his largest, worth $76,000, came as a result of a Super Tuesday final table last August.

We had two players debut in the top 100 of the Rankings this week in the 60s. First up was Austria’s 23NoraB(pictured), who won last weekend’s Full Tilt $250K and bagged 551 PLB Points. He was ranked as high as #6 in the Rankings two years ago and has $3.4 million in tracked scores with an average cash of $623.

The other debut went to JWPRODIGY, who reentered the top 100 at #69. He is the top-ranked player in Thailand and turned in two five-figure scores on March 1 for $26,000. Last month, he won the PokerStars $109 No Limit Hold’em Turbo 2X Chance for $23,000 and 354 PLB Points. JWPRODIGY is 31 spots off his all-time high ranking of #38 in the world.
