Since the beginning of October, the title of #1 player in the PocketFives Rankings has changed hands five times. In fact, the last four updates to the PocketFives Rankings have yielded new #1 players and, with closely bunched PLB scores at the top of the leaderboard, we wouldn’t be shocked at seeing a new #1 next Wednesday when the Rankings are recalculated.

Here’s how the top of the leaderboard has looked since October 2:

October 2 to October 23 (three weeks): Cal cal42688 Anderson
October 23 to October 30 (one week): Vinkyy
October 30 to November 6 (one week): Chris moorman1Moorman
November 6 to November 13 (one week): Cal cal42688Anderson
November 13 to TBA: Chris moorman1Moorman (pictured)

And so the flux begins again, as a mere 163 points separate the top five players in the Rankings:

1 moorman1 – 7,621 points
2. pessagno – 7,559 points (62 out of first place)
3. cal42688 – 7,503 points (118 out of first place)
4. Vinkyy – 7,462 points (159 out of first place)
5. Sheater – 7,458 points (163 out of first place)

Two other newcomers to the top 10 of the Rankings could also cause havoc. We’ll start with Brian England, who is known on PocketFives as brianm15. He has over $3 million in tracked online MTT winnings and reached #8 worldwide this week, his highest position ever. Last week, he was #29.

England has been a force in the online poker world, recording five cashes of at least $100,000, including a $140,000 score for final tabling a PokerStars WCOOP tournament in September, a cash that was good for over 700 PLB Points by itself. In May, he final tabled a SCOOP event and reeled in $101,000.

Then there’s Sweden’s Lukas Berglund (pictured), who is known on PocketFives as lukethafluke. He signed up for a PocketFives account on November 9 and debuted in our Rankings this week at #10 worldwide. He has $2.7 million in tracked earnings and is the #4 player in the nation of Sweden.

Berglund has a string of solid cashes this year, including a SCOOP final table for $68,000 in May. In a one-week span in September, he took down the Full Tilt $1K Saturday and PokerStars.fr Sunday High Roller for $100,000 total and nearly 1,000 PLB Points.

Also adding screen names this week and reaching #14 worldwide as a result was Austria’s huiiiiiiiiii. He won the PokerStars Sunday $100 Rebuy in June for $52,000 and plays as IneedMoneyXX on Full Tilt and iPoker. The Austrian is up to $2.5 million in tracked online poker earnings.

Congrats to all of our ranked players this week.
