For the first time since May 6, a span of 16 weeks, we have a new #1 player in the PocketFives Online Poker Rankings. By a slim 63-point margin, Aaron aguskbGustavson (pictured) is our new #1 member worldwide, overtaking Nico PokerKaiser Fierro.

Tournament Poker Edgeis the only poker training site dedicated exclusively to MTTs and features over 1,000 training videos, blogs, articles, podcasts and a dedicated strategy forum for members. Check Tournament Poker Edge out on Twitter.

Gustavson is a man of volume. In fact, he has recorded 80 in the money finishes in online MTTs we track in the last five days, an average of 16 per day. To close out June, he was the runner-up in the PokerStars Super Tuesday and earned $52,000. Earlier this month, our new #1 player final tabled the PokerStars Sunday $109 Rebuy and walked away with $29,000.

Gustavson won last month’s PocketFives Monthly PLB and is one of 337 PocketFivers with PLB scores from Mexico. He is a few thousand dollars shy of hitting $4 million in winnings all-time. However, with such a slim lead over Fierro, can he retain the #1 spot when the Rankings are recomputed next Wednesday?

Fierro (pictured) ruled the roost for 16 straight weeks, the longest run by any PocketFiver since Cal cal42688 Anderson was ranked #1 for 22 weeks from September 2012 to February 2013. Fierro, from Chile, has 675 top-three finishes in online MTTs we track for a total of $8.3 million, the third highest total of anyone on our site.

Also shaking up the Rankings this week was prebzzz, who reentered his screen names and debuted at #3 in the world. He has six wins so far this month and has final tabled the Super Tuesday twice this year, once in June and once in January, for a combined $128,000. He calls Norway home and his #3 ranking is his highest so far.

Denmark’s Allen sifosisBaekke moved up from #13 to #6 this week, his best showing ever, after winning two $109 Rebuys on PokerStars in the last two days. He passed $4 million in career online tournament winnings this week and plays as Baekke2 on William Hill. He is #1 out of 509 Danish PocketFivers with PLB scores.

Finally this week, we wanted to single out Windsor’s Justin Ouimette(pictured), who shot up from #49 to #27, his highest mark ever, thanks to notching four wins in the last week. Last Tuesday, he took down both the Full Tilt Fat Tuesday and PokerStars Big $55 for a combined $23,000. He is the top-ranked Canadian PocketFiver.
