OK so someone made me aware that I haven't put up a blog in well over a month, sorry about that but the bottom line is that I'm just not creative, I've had no ideas and I'm still not sure what this is gonna be about but hopefully I can turn out something worth reading here. <READMORE>

School is finally done so I have been relaxing quite a bit, funny I'm playing less poker now then when I had classes to go to. Poker has been going so - so, been playing more on UB lately, still spending most of my time in cash games on Bodog, but occasionally the rivers there are more then I can handle so UB believe it or not has been where I have gone to relax. So I was venting to someone who is probably sick of hearing me vent but oh well he has to deal with it, and we got to talkin and the question came up, what makes a winning poker player?

I'm sure everyone has a different definition for this, but when I thought about it, I didn't know what it was. I mean I have stayed in the game with my own money (mostly) for a while now, but does that make me a winning player? I guess so, but how can you really gauge how good you really are? Personally, my bankroll fluctuates by going two steps forward and then taking one back. So I win sometimes, great, but will I ever be blingin rolis on my wrist rollin in my 500 benz? Or is that even necessary? So what makes a winning player, I don't have a damn clue, those were just questions I had, if you can answer em lemme know. But the last one, is that even necessary is a good question.

I recently went on a great rush and of course moved up limits, played some decent size games over on UB, and I even did well my first couple times in the game, then WHAP, outdraw in a pot big enough to sicken me. The point is I didn't need to play in the game. I was living perfectly well playing within my bankroll and I got away from my plan and it cost me big. Making runs in bigger games isn't always a bad idea but most of the time it is. The fact is that you just don't need to do it. It's a great feeling when you make a run and win in the game, but when you lose you just wasted a few weeks work. Just keep playing your game and build the roll gradually. I have horrible bankroll management and will probably not even follow what I just wrote, but I think others should, it's not worth the stress to play out of your roll and it's not worth the risk.

Anything get accomplished in this blog? Probably not but oh well. Thank you to SusieQue for some great tickets to the Cubs/Sox game and I guess thanks to P0kerH0 for being to lazy to drive to Chicago so I could get his ticket, 6 rows behind home plate H0, damn shame you missed it. Good luck to everyone out at the WSOP, I think I'm headin out there around the main event, should be a great time, even if I don't play any events, be easy everyone. </READMORE>
