One of the richest tournaments in the history of online poker will go down on March 2 at 14:30 ET. On that day, PokerStars, the largest online poker site in the world, will celebrate the eighth anniversary of its flagship Sunday Million by guaranteeing a ridiculous $8 million. The buy-in will remain constant at $215, meaning PokerStars is guaranteeing the buy-ins of 40,000 people.

First place is guaranteed at least $650,000 and the prize pool will be a whopping eight times the regular Sunday Million guarantee of $1 million. PokerStars pro Liv Boeree commented in a press release, “Each week, the Sunday Million is the tournament that everyone wants to win, with players scheduling their weekends around it. The Anniversary tournament is even more un-missable, though, because it’s not often you can win enough money playing online poker for a few hours to buy a house.”

If you don’t have $215 sitting around, PokerStars is running satellites to the $8 million guaranteed Sunday Million starting at $1. Hourly $1 feeder tournaments will begin on February 23 and then take place every 30 minutes starting on February 28. There are also two massive Deadline Satellites on March 2 that guarantee 1,333 seats to the tournament:

$11 Deadline Satellite
13:30 ET on March 2
1,000 Sunday Million seats guaranteed

$33 Deadline Satellite
13:45 ET on March 2
333 Sunday Million seats guaranteed

VIP Bash satelliteswill run on March 1, one day before the super-sized Sunday Million, and give away 200 seats. The buy-ins for the VIP Bash satellites are 50 FPPs for Round 1 and 500 FPPs for Round 2. Regular qualifiers for the Sunday Million are also available. Opening up the PokerStars client and clicking on “Tourney” and “Satellites” will give you a full list of ways to get in.
