The PokerStars Sunday Million turned 11 this month and PokerStars is ready to celebrate with a guaranteed M prize pool.

Just over 11 years ago, PokerStars jumped into the deep end with a tournament guarantee that would go on to become the anchor of their weekly tournament schedule when they launched the PokerStars Sunday Million.

Daryl ‘aaaaaa’ Jace went on to win that $215 buy-in event for $173,843.50. Times have changed.

On Sunday April 2, PokerStars will celebrate that anniversary with a $10 million guarantee and at least $1 million for the eventual winner.

And the buy-in is still just $215.

Now, this special edition of the Sunday Million is a little bit different from the usual Sunday tourney. The tournament, which is normally a freezeout, actually allows players to re-enter up to three times to give players a total of four chances to chase down a million dollar payday.

If the $215 price point isn’t something that follows smart bankroll management for you, don’t worry – there are satellites galore starting from as low as $1.

Beginning Monday, March 20 and running until April 2, players can qualify for the 11th Anniversary event by playing $5 Spin & Gos.

Players can also qualify in two VIP Bash qualifiers. The first is on March 25 at 15:00 ET and has a buy-in of 1,000 StarsCoin and guarantees 50 seats. The second goes one week later and doubles the guarantee to 1,000 seats.

The biggest day for satellites will be April 2 – just hours before the Sunday Million kicks off. Four special edition satellites with buy-ins ranging from $11 to to $33 will guarantee 1,783.

  • $22 Mega Satellite @ 11:00 ET (200 seats guaranteed)
  • $11 Deadline Satellite @ 13:00 ET (1,000 seats guaranteed)
  • $33 Deadline Satellite @ 13:33 ET (333 seats guaranteed)
  • $27 Last Chance Satellite @ 14:00 ET (250 seats guaranteed)

Players can satellite into the $11 Deadline Satellite for just $1 with special qualifiers running now.

The Sunday Million gets underway at 14:00 ET.

The first Sunday Million was won by Daryl ‘aaaaaa’ Jace on March 6, 2006. He earned $173,843.50 for the win.
