March 13 marks the start of PokerStars‘ seventh running of its hugely popular MicroMillions series. MicroMillions 7 offers a litany of events in every discipline of poker at minimal costs. The cheapest events for the tournament series cost only $0.11 and go up to $22 for the Main Event that begins on March 23. Over the span of ten days, 100 tournaments will make up the MicroMillions 7 schedule, with its focus on shattering the records set in 2013.

Every day of the festival features at least one tournament with a six-figure guarantee. On the opening day of MicroMillions 7 on March 13, there will be a $1 NLHE 3X Turbo Rebuy that features a $150,000 guarantee. March 14 will feature an $11 NLHE Six-Max tournament with a $100,000 guarantee. These tournaments will run alongside other low buy-in events that have various guarantees starting at $15,000.

All players, however, will have their eyes and their bankrolls set on the Main Event on March 23. The $22 Main Event has a $1 million guarantee and will send a minimum of $75,000 to its champion. It will begin at 3:30pm Eastern Time on the final day of the festival.

MicroMillions 7 will also offer a Player of the Series award, with some outstanding prizes for those fortunate enough to find themselves atop that ladder. The eventual Player of the Series will walk off with six months’ worth of entries (26) into the PokerStars Sunday Million. Those who round out the top ten will earn five entries into the Sunday Million, and players from 11th to 100th place will get one Sunday Million entry.

Team PokerStars Pro Marcin “Goral” Horecki is a player who knows the value of finishing at the top of the Player of the Series standings, having won two of them. When asked why he takes part in the event, Horecki noted, “The MicroMillions is great fun because the events come thick and fast and the stakes are small enough that you don’t have to worry about hurting your bankroll. Even though the buy-ins are low, the rewards are massive.”

In November, the MicroMillions 6 Main Event drew 65,397 entrants to crush its $1 million guarantee by more than $300,000. Although $150,000 was guaranteed to the winner, the three players left at the end decided to strike a deal to guarantee each person over $118,000 each. The players did play out the event for tournament glory, with TheManMtaking the MicroMillions 6 Main Event title after the dust had settled.

In MicroMillions 4 last March, a stunning 1.5 million players stepped up to take part in the plethora of tournaments that were offered. Along the way, those players created the largest prize pool in MicroMillions history at $9.5 million. With $5 million being guaranteed out of the gate by PokerStars, it is conceivable that MicroMillions 7 will shatter the $10 million ceiling.
